My first flight was in a Tiger Moth flown by my brother -in - law Colin.
He part owned the plane and was a member of Lincoln Aero Club, we took off from Scampton (where the Dam Busters took off from).
I was only 9, that was back in 1957.......I can remember flying over Scunthorpe and seeing the huge chimneys belching out plumes of black smoke!
Got a photo of me standing next to the plane on my bedroom wall....short trousers and black duffle coat.
Everything after that was a breeze!!!!!0 -
