I'm gonna get a firm together to kidnap Large....and somehow physicaly pick him up and launch him onto the pitch wearing only his underpants.....oh the thought of it!
  • If anyone runs on the pitch after all the warnings they deserve everything they will hopefully get. We all know that running on the pitch is not allowed so why do it? You can enjoy the occasion just as much in the stands and EVERYONE can enjoy it, not just those who think the rules don't relate to them. The pitch invasion at Reading certainly didn't look particularly safe, players could have been hurt in the crush. The rules are there for good reason and so the FA must be seen to uphold them. We don't want to go back to the pre-Hillsborough days.
Is encroaching on the pitch not allowed just during a game or 5 minutes either side? What if you run on half hour after the final whistle, one the ref has left & the players have lifted the trophy & done their lap of honour etc?

Plenty of fans were on the pitch at the clear up the Valley day. Where was the FA then??
    and the CDM coordinator!?

Some of our supporters got down the tunnel and into the dressing room.
Gawd, imagine if that had happened this time last year at the height of Powelly's barren spell?

They would have probaly got a game!

If you want to go on the pitch work hard at your football skills and fitness.

With luck you will be signed as a professional player and will be able to go on the pitch any time you want.

I don't remember anybody invading Wembley after the play-off final in 1998 and promotions don't get more exciting than that......

    Just saying

on another note... when weve finally banned everyone that dares to push the boundries and that while going to watch the footy, will we then moan about the atmosphere and attendance figures and say how it aint like it used to be in the old days?

i hope so, UP THE FORUMS!

When invading the pitch run backwards.

Stewards will think you are running back to the stands and leave you alone.

Oooh Ahh makes a good point there. We can't pull it off. You only have to read this thread to see that. If we can't do it properly, I'd rather not do it.

Can't believe 'return to the pre-Hilsborough' days has been mentioned. Jesus wept, have people not been watching football for the last 20 years - it happens up and down the Country every fooking season.

Players might get hurt? Do me a favour!! Has this ever happened? More likely to happen from thier own goal celebrations.

Let the players have there moment? Its our moment as much, if not more than theirs. We will be here loooooong after they have gone. Plus they seemed to love the invasion at Carlisle from my very close viewpoint.

It's illegal to go on the pitch, so don't do it? No one ever gone above 70mph on the motorway then. I hope not. Lighten up.

It's like the standing at Fulham all over again, an event that is a massive one off that people just have to moan about.

Lets us Charlton supporters who might be a bit more fun, a bit ladish, a bit of a naught side, have our once in a blue moon moment. It don't happen often.

I won't be going on at the Valley but cudnt care less if some do, like I did at Carlisle. Some of us are young at heart and if you can't be a bit silly at the footie, when can you!!

    And he hates you all.

Presumably because he had to stay teetotal 48 hours before the match?

Rothko - as you pointed out it didn't happen at any of them games, so 'me me me' don't really add up does it.

It was a spontaneous pitch invasion after some years of shite. Most had been on the beer all day (is that allowed?) and it just happened. It wasn't planned. There was old and young, just sharing and enjoying the moment!
