CL Game at the Valley

Was wondering if anyone had thought about organising this for this year?

I think the cheapest package is about £1200 for a full 90 minute game at the valley however @Airmanbrown may have to confirm that.

So if we did it who would be interested?

I organised two games off here for Demelza about 4 years ago. Having done that, you would not believe the amount of organisation necessary and the time it takes up. There is no way possible you would be able to arrange one of these in the next few weeks.

We really should aim to have a CL day.for next summer though.

Would be great to have a CL fun day and get a couple of teams together for a match (and maybe even a vets game if enough interest so us oldies can play at a nice pace). As much as it would be nice to play at the valley, it wouldn't bother me if we went for a cheaper alternative...............

1). About Jan 2013 contact CAFC.
2). About Feb 2013 post on here.
3). About Mar 2013 sift through b*llsh*tters & get at least 22 who are serious about it.
4). About Apr 2013 start getting teams together & organise money.
5). About May 2013 chase people for money, and plan times, meetings, tat-tics & then play at The Valley.

    Simples.

Better start saving up then, as it's not cheap.

So if we get about 28 people on it (11 each side plus 3 subs each), then going by what Dazzler said (£1200) be about 48 pound each so not too bad.

Let me know ahead of time and I'll do a special celebrity appearance from California. :-)
  • Would be well up for this. Dazzler will help you organise it nearer the time next year if you want if it is actually possible.

If you need a striker I know where the back of the net is...

I mean, my Sunday league team did get relegated this year but I put it down to poor service :D

I could fill one of the goals

We should invite the players whose shirts we sponsor next season too
