Didn't Charlton get him a car and he wasn't happy with it, he wanted the top of the range version so sent it back.
The car he wanted wasn't part of the fleet agreement so he spent best part of £100k off agreement on a bespoke model.

1> he ate all my home made shortbread biscuits
2> claimed on expenses the petrol cost between the training ground and The Valley for an Academy presentation evening..... allegedly ....
3> he knew that if one of our many 'loan' players made another appearance it would cost the club a lot of money and the club could have done without it at the time, so allegedly suggested to him the possibility of leaving him out as it was the I think it was right at the end of the season. he didn't. he put him on the bench. and put him on for 30 seconds at the end of the game and I dont think he even touched the ball.... (I know the club shouldn't get involved in player apperance issues, but I felt it was spiteful of him)

there endeth my reasons for disliking Mr Pardew.
    1. You should take that as a compliment ;-)
    2. Did the petrol company give him the petrol free then?
    3. Perhaps he strongly felt that no-one at the club should interfere with team selections.
    Ooh contraversial.

Personally I would like to watch Alan being chased round a large field by a ferocious dog.
    For hours.
    This calls for Benton.

Sorry but some of the blame for that surely has to go to the board. They allowed him to spend £100k on a car. They should have put their feet down and told him to take the car that was on offer or buy his own.
Same with players - he may have asked for them but he didn't sign the cheque for them.

  • I agree in part with DRF We made some bad decisions throughout the club and in consequence we got relegated

I do also agree in part, and I think it seems easy on the outside to think that people could have said no. But the club hadn't had to deal with a manager like that before so it was new to them and yeah, perhaps they didn't deal with it well. they didnt have a manager before that was that demanding. if a football 'expert' told you to spend money so that he could make 'your' club great - you my believe him and run with it. Football/business deadly mixture if you're involved with your heart too.
  • Big nosed arrogant bad breath prick

    End of

I would gladly give him a good hiding for his efforts at crippling the club

i really dont like football managers who say "offensive" as opposed to "attacking"

ian dowie and pardew both belong to this growing clique ....personally i find them offensive

basically curbs carried the club ,murray , et al and as soon as he left they didn't have a danny la rue what to do and were too weak to stand up to pardew and let him run them into the ground , the decisions may have been made with the right intentions but they were continually poor decisions, beyond belief

He made Hansen and Dixon look positively aneamic. Perhaps he's reading SJ's book.

Had to turn it over at half time I cannot watch the bloke anymore without wanting to put my foot through the screen!

And to think I was stupid enough to be pleased when he was appointed manager.

Sailor Browneye was the one voice in the wilderness suggesting he was a bad appointment.

    How right he (Sailor) was.

Amen to that, although with the Les Reed debacle we were desperate for any glimmer of hope.

I take exception to that Len - one of my proudest moments on CL was pointing out that night that he got the sack at West Ham for a reason and we should be cautious. Sadly he went on to effing well prove me right several times over...the pompous, orange twunt.

  • It's not the same Alan Parduped who was once an excellent midfielder for us and scored some memorable goals during one of the most difficult periods in our history, is it?
Can't possibly be, because I liked him, but can't stand this bloke!
