Couldn't see another thread on this...

GB's Gemma Gibbons, who was brought up in Charlton, has just won her second bout of the day (in the final second) and is through to the quarter-finals.

Her semi-final is scheduled for 2:20pm (ish). She's taking on the world number two.

If she doesn't manage to make the final, she will fight one of the repechage winners for bronze.

Good luck to her, but have to say I've found judo the most boring sport I've seen in the Olympics so far, and difficult to follow

Was it judo that had all the controversy over the guy that got selected for Team GB over the world champion ?

I was thinking the same but there are a lot of dull sports in the Olympics.

Fencing....now that is dull.....but if it was a Brit going for gold then I think I could force myself to watch it.

It's easy. You have to throw your opponent to the ground & jump on top of them :-)
