Hollands joins Swindon on loan...

Frimpong has twitted that he going out on loan but not to whom.
So I reckon he's off to Palace as a starter for the Zaha deal : - )0 -
Frimpong tweeted this last night,I think he will be heading back to Molineux.
ur a legend what team not including arsenal do u support????"---Only Arsenal with a soft spot for wolves0 -
I like Hollands as a player, but fear he hasn't got enough pace for Championship level and above.0
-
Not sure pace is such an important factor for a central mid with a decent engine. He's looked off the pace a bit, but could do very well at Swindon and return with renewed confidence. One of our very best performers in the first half of last year.0
-
Hi Morts, know where you're coming from, but pace is an issue in the middle if the opposing CM's can run past you like you're not there. It then exposes the defence by drawing them out. There are very few players who can get away with a lack of pace in the modern game. Ironically one who could/did was none other than our own SCP0
-
When he was at Wolves his manager was Mick McSpanner who is now at Ipswich so.........0
-
I just can't understand why he has been sent on loan. Yes if he is further down the pecking order he needs game time and he should be sought to be sold however two out of the four people on loan are over 25 I still think we should let some of the youngsters get some proper football experience like we did with Smith. If we really wanted to let go of Hollands surely it could wait a month and a half?0
-
I can't see Frimpong coming here, especially as we signed Jonsson.0
-
He was decent last season, but hardly indispensable, and probably no better than Russell. I'm surprised Bournemouth didn't come in for him.ShootersHillGuru said:Not surprised tbh. Was very good last season but doesn't look mobile enough for The Championship. Was there talk of Frimpong from Arsenal ? Could this bring that closer or is that complete nonsense ?

Whatever the opinions and in's and out's of Danny Hollands ability right now, it amazes me that any Charlton supporter can come here and write snide stuff about him. Danny Hollands does NOT hide in matches, gives 100%, gives of his best, seems to be a generous team man, and has triplets..so he's the daddy!
All the very best wishes from me Danny, quite honestly I hope you re-discover blazing form and come storming back and give Chris Powell a selection headache.0 -

I hope this move revitalises him and that his indifferent form for us has been because of the lack of a proper pre season rather than inability at the higher level.

Don't remember him bottling out of challenges like McCormack did a couple of seasons ago - I think he's just struggling after missing most of pre-seasonnth london addick said:I have never seen a charlton player hide so obviously in all the times i have gone
I have seen a lot worse players than him and a lot worse performances but he literally passed the ball on instantly and moved closer to opposition players so he couldnt receive a pass0 -

I`m not comparing CM and RB/RMWhat I`m saying is if Pritchard and Wilson can get in the team then a half fit Hollands should be able too. Both of those player are put in the team even though other players are far better'. CP Has he`s favorites and as the saying goes, If your face fits.RugbyAddick said:
I strongly disagree. A fully fit Hollands is better than a fully fit Pritchard (if he's not paired with Hollands IMO. And you can't compare a CM to a RB/RM.gazza said:
You can have your opinion..but it's complete and utter shit.

They've signed Chris Martin on loan from Norwich as well. Must have a bit of cash there at the moment.0
-
Again down to opinions. Pritchard as I said before has played better lately and very very well against Cardiff in the second half, but he is usually running around out of postion and like a headless chicken, When he is right wing he should stay there but does`nt. Wilson, Sorry Green and Waggy are far better.Swisdom said:

Pritchard has been immense - especially against Cardiff - and has more energy than anyone else.
Wilson is turning out to be a complete steal and was MOM in the 2 games prior to his injury0 -
Which is what you would have got if you didn't accuse Powell of having favourites.gazza said:

So long as we can recall him back at anytime then this isn't too bad I suppose, still think he has got something to offer.0
-
Danny was a mainstay of the team last year but so far he has looked off the pace this season. Add to that he and Stephens do not compliment one another so this comes as no surprise. Whateever happens I wish Danny all the very best he is a whole hearted player and was great for us in the promotion year.0
-
Far better? I just don't get that. Yes it's your opinion and that's fine but Wilson has given the right side some real solidity recently and seems to be consistant, something neither Green or Wagstaff are.gazza said:

I've not had a lot of positive things to say about Hollands this season. But I do really like the guy. Last season he did such a good job for us and I want him to come back and earn his place and keep it, However I can see him joining them next summer in all honesty.
Also theres a rumour going around that we are after that Frimpong on loan.0 -

Can anyone confirm where Hollands lives?

Who are his favourites then? Pritchard has been in and out of the side this season, when he's played he's earnt his place with excellent performances. Powell picks his players on merit of that there is no doubt. And unfortunately because I like Danny Hollands, he hasn't really merited a place this season for whatever reason.0
