Reading the "Shelvey/LFC" link-up thread and noticed "PubSpy" being mentioned alot.
Not sure if there are many readers of His/Her columns in the paper, but noticed recently that they gave a glowing review of The Dolphin, Sydenham Road, SE26, and thought something was wrong: Gave it 4 or 5 stars (out of 5) in everything, Decor, Food, Drink, Service, etc. A couple of years back they wouldn't have even gone into a place like this, its primarily a trendy "GastroPub/WineBar", where as PS likes/liked his real Ale, pork scratchings and open fires.

Used to be good when it was the grumpy real ale drinker. Funny review of the unlamneted Copperfield, barely really glance at it now.0

think it has changed writers a few times.
In seen one of them that did it though, when he slagged off my local a couple of years back they went back through the cctv to work out who he was !0 -

It's a bird now - not only are her reviews rubbish, but she now seems to be spending all her time in Bromley and Penge rather than sticking to South East London.

I seem to remember he did the Charlcoal Burner in Sidcup once, and gave it a similar rating to what we did on here some time back (Netaddicks I think).

This doesn't really fit with pubspy as I know it
Growing up in Leicester, I remember dreaming of turning 18 and heading straight for the posh champagne bar in town.
But now I’d give anything to be underage again, drinking neat vodka at house parties every night, leaving surprise mackerels in people’s grandfather clocks to be discovered at a later date.0 -

TPs is a dive. But the Swan and Mitre down the road is the worst pub I've ever stepped foot in. Full of no good druggies and scum.

Thanks for posting that. Can't agree with their choice of The Lord Northbrook in Lee as the best pub around though, The refurbishment as made it sterile and I can't think of anything worse than walking into a pub and seeing someone eating their dinner.Miserableoldgit said:0 -

Pub spy liked The Woodman in Farnboro Village recently ,use to have a row down there when i was a yob might see what it's like now days 1 sunday lunchtime0
