No West Ham was rained off, they were desperate not to play due to injuries and it tipped it down for about 72 hours preceding the gamenth london addick said:That was frozen off not rained off

Agree definitely rained off, gave up waiting for a late decision sitting in a nice dry car and got soaked walking down to the ground only for it to be called of just as we got there.0

I asked Paddy Powell about the Andy Durso farce a few years ago, at the greenwich meeting, he was not amused by the late call to call it off?
Both the teams wanted to play, in fact they trained on it after the game was called off. He mentioned that there was a sort of agreement beetween the clubs to share covers, but if half the country is waterlogged then I guess that will not be possible. If the water is so great that it affects the roll of the ball is one thing, a muddy goal area, and running area for the assistants is a bit of a limp excuse especially if people have to travel travel distances. Well done to anyone going down there early to help out.

Leyton Orient's pitch has passed a pitch inspection. In no doubt that The Valley will be fine.0
