We get loads of Wolf Spiders and Black Widows on the West Coast of Canada here and for some reason they won't set up camp anyway near walnuts (that haven't been cracked). Don't ask me how or why but it works when we put the walnuts in the areas we don't want spiders.
I don't give a monkeys about spiders but something to worry about is the bears that are out of control this year as our bin men have been on strike for the last 7 weeks.0 -

if a spider bites you, seek medical help asap.
if you don't this may happen.
do not watch if you are squeamish.absolutely disgusting0 -
Don't have a problem with spiders but I hate that crunching noise and feeling you get when you pick them and crush them. Have to use some paper to do it.0
