A bit of Friday fun.
How near or close have you been to somebody very famous/notorious/interesting via a handshake?
The person could be alive or dead, the more famous/notorious or interesting the better.
- No assumed handshakes, they must have taken place
- No direct handshakes, that’s name dropping
- No more than six handshakes.
Three months supply of Marmite to the most interesting person as judged by the committee at 5pm tonight.
I’ll start the ball rolling with Pele.
I’ve shaken hands with Graham Tutt who I know has shaken hands with Pele.

I shook hands with Jack Charlton, who would've shaken hands with most 1st Division, international and European competetion footballers he played against, and also many of the 60s luminaries when England won the world cup.
So probably through that I have 2nd, 3rd and 4th handshakes with nearly everyone in the whole universe.
I also shook hands with my next door neighbour when he moved in, still trying to work out the links from that.0 -

Seeing as I can't do directly, I have shaken hands with my old Manager at Adidas, who during the time around the Olympics shook hands with most of the Olympic Squad, including Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah and Sir Chris Hoy as well as a couple of the royal family and David Beckham.
