Never forgiven LR for catching Kauto and Denman couple of years back !

I think Bobs Worth looks a strong favourite. Been in the Sir Des Champs camp since last years festival but think the ground is going to go against him now

Glad i changed my mind today !

Looking at my old form books Flyingbolt must have been really special.
After winning the Champion Chase ,the next day he was only beaten 3 lengths in the Champion Hurdle.

Bobs Worth equals Flyingbolt's record: Albert Bartlett, RSA Chase, GC in successive years.

    Me too.
Went in to that difficult fence behind horses and bit unsighted. If he gets over that he wins IMO. Gutted.

A Festival without a Nicholls or Pipe winner? Not possible is it?

Has any horse ever won 3 different races at consecutive Festivals?

    Bobs Worth.

Brilliant stuff. Do you think Ruby might have gone close ? although jumpings the name of the game.

Nicholls Tricky Trickster in the 4.0 cost an absolute fortune with the Grand National in mind but had a very serious injury and was not expected to run again.

You'd have to fancy he'd have been in the shake up.
At least 3 favs at this Festival have looked in serious trouble at some stage (Hurricane Fly, Quevega and Bobs Worth) but have come home under superb, patient rides. Quality wins through.

Nicholls has had a nightmare. There was a bug in the Twiston_Davies yard and they've had a couple of winners.

T-D reckons he knows which ones had the bug and which didn't - certainly looks that way. Such a shame that the Commander didn't get a chance in the GC.
