We NEED 1 killer striker, 2 killer midfielders, and, debatably,1 consistent goalkeeper.

We have needed these since August 2012. It's a bit like me looking at my old Mondeo and saying, "hmm, what I need is a new cambelt". Bless it, what I am going to need shortly is a whole new car.

Except being a Mk2 Mondeo it will probably last another 130,000 miles.

Would take Simeon Jackson with Norwich having signed Van Wolfswinkel

Agree. Was one I hoped we would get last summer. (actually hoped we would sign him from the Gills). Proven at this level.

I have not seen enough of Obika and am not going to judge him on his last outing, but unless he has hidden talents in holding up the ball then we need a younger front man that can score goals. Hopefully Smith will push on but maybe still to early for him. Hopefully SCP will return from his scouting mission with one in his luggage.

We also need a centre half that can play football. So many attacks start (or should do!) from the back you really need a centre back that can make a decent pass and move into space if the opportunity arises.

I am putting on tin hat at this point........, but if we can not buy one, could Kermit be that man?

Lee Hughes is getting on a bit now and dont think that he is the answer.
Instead of a killer, we could get a sex pest like Marlon King.

yup, but we'd need to sort out the supply line as well.

we don't create enough chances for the front man/men for my liking and am hoping that Mark Gower will improve that area for us.

back to the striker point, Rhodes was £8m, Wood possibly £2m, Austin, Murray will be worth millions and we haven't got anywhere near that kind of money. need to unearth a gem from somewhere.

    100%

.... Better service for Haynes ball on the floor would be nice.

Hmmm Wood 2m - hasnt been too successul at Leicester - never know if they might want to offload him.!

  • Mercury would be a killer.

In serious note .. my two realistic picks for next season would bw fabian brandy or craig davies. Both t can finish but can also create out if nothing. Shame davies went bolton. 500k was cheap for a proven champ marksman.

That's tempting fate I would book it in for a new cambelt now!.
