What was his argument with our own fans?

    He loves Palace. (Joke).

Lots of silly stuff being said now

    "Wrong attitude"

    "No big loss"

    "Powell doesn't rate him"

"It was row with fans on twitter"

He was offered a contract so Powell wanted him. How much he wanted him we can debate but if he didn't rate him he wouldn't have been offered anything.

Nothing wrong with his attitude. Has stayed for two years with few chances. Now he wants more job security. Nothing wrong with that

Shame so many fans can't just wish a departing player good luck.

I wish him all the best and it is clear he is popular with the other players. But you can also see the reasons for offering him only one year.

What was his argument with our own fans?

He congratulated a few Palace players on winning Promotion, And then someone said he's not 'True Charlton'

He didn't even congratulate them he just said they deserved to win on the day. Which they did. He's no Alan Pardew.

Hope he stays, but maybe he is just keeping fit while looking for a club?

That was my gut reaction... He may not have signed a new contract but his current one hasn't expired yet.

Turns out he was asked to come in.

@ceddyevina: @gjw23 @BenHamer21 @MA_Fox that's ok gav. Gaffer only texted me insisting I come in the morning #favouritechild haha

Also a little bit of banter about Fox taking his position:

    gavin james deane ‏@gjw23 16m
@ceddyevina @BenHamer21 we all have to be nice to ceddy, specially as @MA_Fox has taken his seat and the 3 shirt!

didn't Wiggins go off with an injury early in the Bristol City game?

wonder how his recovery has progressed.

Don't know but my guess is CP still wants CE and hopes that once back in training he'll decide to accept the lower contract he was offered.

Would be a good move for him I think. In all honesty - I think he needs and deserves first team football and with us he has Wiggins in front of him. The time is probably right for Fox to step up too.

A player who will get a good reception whenever he returns.

    On Sky :

Charlton defender Cedric Evina has turned down a new deal at the club, Sky Sports understands.

Evina's current deal at The Valley expires next month and Charlton were keen to tie down the former Arsenal man to a new contract.

However, Evina has rejected the club's offer of a one-year extension and now looks set to leave The Valley.

The 21-year-old admits he was disappointed by Charlton's offer and is looking for a bit more security with a longer deal.

"I have turned down Charlton's offer of a new deal and to be honest I am very disappointed with the club," Evina told Sky Sports.

"At this stage of my career I need more security and unfortunately for whatever reason the club cannot do that for me.

"I now have to consider my future and I am keeping my options open."

News of Evina's possible availability is sure to alert a number of clubs with Reading and Leeds both thought to be admirers of the left-back.

    July 6

Evina plays for Charlton V Welling.

Not sure how I feel about this. We made him an offer, he turned it down. Now because nothing betters come along he's come back. Fox looked decent yesterday although its very difficult to say if he's ready to be back up to Wiggins in strength of 45 mins in a friendly against Welling.
