Shame, just about to wander up to the East Dulwich Tav for some lunch, if this had been at home I would have gone to get my live football fix this weekend.Er_Be_Ab_Pl_Wo_Wo_Ch said:Top of the table clash away to Kingstonian this afternoon.

Kingstonian 2-1 Dulwich Hamlet
By Liam Hickey, 12th Jan 2014
Dulwich left Kingsmeadow empty handed despite dominating the game for long periods but succumbing to a goal 4 minutes from time.
Dulwich were without regular full backs Mathieu Boyer and Ahmed Deen and with Lewis Gonsalves suspended there was an unfamiliar look to the defence. Billy Crook filled in at right back with Kershaney Samuels at left back and Ethan Pinnock at centre half.
Despite all these changes, Dulwich totally dominated the first half against a very robust Kingstonian side. Dulwich were dealt a further blow when Ellis Green limped off after only 11 minutes to be replaced by debutant Jordan Clarke.
Kingstonian were under the cosh early and left back Bruce Hogg was cautioned for bringing down Dean Lodge when he was played in behind the square defence. On another day he may have been deemed the last man.
It was Dulwich who took the lead on 19 minutes when a dangerous cross from Kershaney Samuels was sliced into his own goal by Sam Page. On 23 minutes Nyren Clunis should have doubled the lead as a superb through pass from Xavier Vidal had him through on goal but he blazed over.
It was 35 minutes before Kingstonian drew a save from Yannick Nlate as he pushed a well hit shot out to his left. However he then flew out to claim the rebound and was adjudged to have brought down the attacker. Andre McCollum converted from the spot.
The remainder of the half saw The Hamlet push the home side back but they couldn't trouble Tolfrey in the home goal.
The second half opened with the pattern the same and Tolfrey had to tip over an Ethan Pinnock header. Dulwich remained in the ascendancy but after a fine run by Peter Adeniyi he scuffed his shot and Tolfrey's subsequent clearance left Kingstonian with a chance at the other end that was off target.
The game became more even although there were a number of robust challenges from the home side that broke up play.
With six minutes remaining Hogg received his second yellow card for a trip on Jerome Walker although he could easily have been sent off for a crude lunge on Dean Lodge much earlier in the half.
However, despite their numerical disadvantage it was the home side who grabbed an unlikely winner on 86 minutes when Dulwich failed to clear their lines and Daniel Sweeney hit a fine shot that beat Nlate to secure an unlikely win for the hosts that took them above Dulwich in the table.0 -

Their excellent style of football won't suit the boggy winter pitches.0

Great win for the Hamlet, losing to Margate until the 83rd minute, then scored 3 goals to snatch a win! 2-4 to the Hamlet in the end! Get in!1

Lol, I assumed that they had lost. My thought process had been "Bloody typical, charlton win so Dulwicjh lose"CAFCTrev said:Great win for the Hamlet, losing to Margate until the 83rd minute, then scored 3 goals to snatch a win! 2-4 to the Hamlet in the end! Get in!

Just back from today's game. Only saw the second half but once again Erhun Oztumer was the difference, Dulwich winning 3-2.
Players taken off for a few minutes near the end due to the heavy rain. Those of us behind the goal took an absolute drenching.
Dulwich now top of the league.1 -

Brilliant, can only get to two more games this season, including next Tuesday, so I am probably going to have to sacrifice the U 18's match0

If Dulwich do manage to get promoted, it will be the highest level the club has ever played at.0
