I'm Gravesend born & bred and normally attend a dozen games a season, as long as they don't coincide with our home games. Despite the defeat yesterday, the best team in the division in my opinion. Brand new squad last summer meant they took a bit of time to get going (too many draws in the first quarter of the season).

Apparently will be going full time, Regardless of not going up, so should win the league. Getting their shirt sponsored by Mitsubishi.

They want to be in the league by the time this theme park is built on the marshes and the new 'garden cities' being cited in the area

Its all going on in Ebbsfleet!

I am very drunk but: No one has mentioned the Wealdstone Raider is down at Ebbsfleet next season.

Anyone who walks into that away end and says 'that Fleet are playing well, ain't they?' deserves a proper hiding. You want some he'll give it ya. Otherwise he could be pacified by beer and cigarettes, most probably the latter. Regardless, please take care.

Because only Charlton are allowed to try and get more fans through the gate. It's our exclusive rite and anyone else that tries are bang out of order.

I'd like to see the Charlton "getting more fans" rite. Does it involve a sacrifice of Pardew or Dowie?

That doesn’t look good for them. Didn’t realise they were in trouble.

Who will be the first to say the Global Football Partners have been waiting for this to happen so they can move Charlton to Ebbsfleet?

Should never have changed their name.

Probably hasn't helped that the proposed Disney theme park fell through. But as someone said up-thread, all Ebbsfleet is is a train station.

What would have been different if they had stuck with Gravesend & Northfleet FC?

They would have had support from 2 towns for a start! 😉

Really really looking bad for the Fleet.

New owner comes in, club announced that the tax bill has been paid, but that was said that last week as well.

Club under embargo and have till next week then the League make their decision.

Can’t see ebbsfleet surviving this. What a bright future they had only a decade or so ago. Complete inertia with the so called regeneration of the area and an owner that completely lost interest. Very sad, used to go to dartford games when they were at Stonebridge road.

Long article in the The Times, part of which is the former owner money laundered through the clubs accounts

While I don't want any success on the pitch for Ebbsfleet, obviously I do want them to pull through. A lot is down to the dodgy owner, but as a club it's definitely had ideas above its station for a long time, when in reality it's at the same level a as Dartford and Welling, of a club naturally in the NLS, who might make the NL if they do well, or get stuck in the Isthmian like Dartford and Welling now (and indeed Dulwich).

Bizarrely, Ebbsfleet aren't bottom of the NLS, as 2 teams have lost all their games and so are below Ebbsfleet on GD  :D

League meeting tomorrow (Tuesday, 1st Sept) to determine Ebbsfleet's fate. They claimed to have paid the debt to HMRC on Friday 28th August, and made submissions today (Monday) for tomorrow's league meeting https://ebbsfleetunited.co.uk/latest-update-friday-28th/

    I hadn't gotten round to reading the Time article as it requires registration for a free trial, but some key background info is on Reddit, including an ipaper article from 5 days ago;
