Shame the ref isn't English. Better midfield tackler than Gerrard

And Clive, I don't think Reza or many of the other Iran players use their "Christian" names.

Reza mixed it physically with a couple of Argies just now!

They've done well to go in on terms. Not really looked threatened so far either.

No he isn't Lionel Messi but every time I see Reza I can't help but think he has got potential to be a decent player at Championship level.

    Argentina have looked rubbish.

Iran very solid, that defense is tough to break down and they're a threat at set-pieces. If only Reza had met that free-kick at the back post.

That was actually a brilliant watch when you're biased. This ref is Argentina's 12th man, I mean what was he doing tackling the Iranian player...huh?

Reza doesn't look Lightweight at all, in fact hes been mixing it with mascherano and has been winding him up all game. He does look for fouls but he also has the strength to hold players off with his back to goal. The more I see of him as a centre forward the better he looks in my eyes, let's hope he can snatch a goal in the second half or against Bosnia, he was joint favourite with ' none ' for irans top scorer

Ah Reza, brilliant chance. Great build up, just too close to the keeper.

I'm glad the @cafcofficial are behind him - it's the 4th time in our history someone has represented their country in a World Cup finals and something to be proud of. If this offends you then it says more about you than anything else. Not only that the comments in response to some of the Iranians are shameful and embarrassing - this guy is a national hero and is one of ours.

Should have been a penalty there. Like the number of mentions we're getting. Come on Team Melli!

Iran will get hammered and thats a fact. Iran are just boys compared to argentina. I say 7-0 Argentina

Argentina have 32 minutes to score 7 goals. This is going to be exciting.

Absolute nailed on penalty. You could hear the ref's arsehole drop out from here when he went down there. Pathetic decision.

Good movement for the chance and a decent header, just too straight.

    100% penalty

Shame Reza didn't score but loving all the Charlton mentions.

Andy Townsend mentioned his dad, Don, who played with John Hewie.

How hard is it to say Reza's name?
