In no particular order - Webster, Rufus, Costa, Gatting, Brown

Gatting may seem a strange one but always liked the way he was calm on the ball.

That I have seen - Rufus, Elliott, Shirtliff, Webster, Costa.
  • i have never seen mc carthy and liera play, apart from internet highlights, but even from across the atlantic they sounded accident prone and less than assured? surely they cannot compare with the blood n guts titans that started the thread?

Paul Went was a favourite icon but as a player he does not get into the top 5. Back then our defence was leaky and he wasn't playing against top class strikers. I think he gets into peoples lists because he was part of a team that many including me can still name man for man!

No argument that Rufus was number 1.
