What Kent really need for next season's T20 comp is someone who can hit 50 off 18 balls.
Bit like that bloke who plays for Hants ;-(2 -
250 up without the loss of any further wickets so a lead of 260. Good to see Billings following Northeast on the batting front - he is 30* to add to his 82* in the first innings. Haggett currently 38*.0
-
266-7 and a lead of 276. Haggett out for 44. Billings 39*.
Could be a very good day's cricket ahead.
5 wickets for Meaker and 9-190 in the match so far.0 -
Wish I was allowed to read this thread !1
-
281-8 and a lead of 291. Billings 46*.
Claydon out to Meaker who now has 6-90 and 10-196 in match.0 -
292-9.
Lead 302
Billings 57*0 -
Kent all out 292
Billings 57 not out Meaker 7-90.
Surrey require 303 and theoretically have 77 overs to get them.
EDIT: Make that 76 overs0 -

Apologies if this has been mentioned above, not reading 121 pages to catch up!
Does anyone know Kent's plans for the beckenham ground? There is what looks like a stand being built there at the moment and a large building? Are they looking to develop it for more than one game a season? Seems a good idea as the population density must be massive here and a lot of the 'right sort' for cricket!0 -

133-5 Dilshan cruising ominously on 56 not out.
We need another wicket pronto.0 -
The idea is to definitely hold matches there. However, it will also be used by Kent as a training centre for those young players from the North Kent area which will be a relief for those of us that are currently making the two and a half hour trek to Canterbury every week.Super_Eddie_Youds said:Apologies if this has been mentioned above, not reading 121 pages to catch up!

The ground isn't owned by the County but by Leander Sports & Leisure and there will be two other interested parties, apart from Kent C C, who will use the ground as a Conference Centre and also a health Centre.

180-7 at tea. Riley still not had a bowl.0

The spinners in the match have a record to date of 4-171 off 44 overs so there probably isn't much in the wicket for them. Atmospheric conditions are also probably ideal for the seamers too and they have taken all 11 wickets to fall today.LenGlover said:180-7 at tea. Riley still not had a bowl.

True enough but the tail are in and "dibbly dobblies" might just tempt them to chance their arm and make an error.Addick Addict said:

Kent's record of bowling the tail out is not the best as we know and it's a hot old day so Claydon and a 38 year old Stevens might be knackered.
