Henderson 7 two good saves but not convincing in the first half. Needs to move the ball out quicker

Henderson 7 Excellent handling; nice to see a modern keeper catch crosses. Kicking could be kept a bit lower to give the player receiving a chance.
Solly 7.5 Just so good to see him out there (albeit after a slow start)
Wiggins 7 VG first half, went off the boil a bit.
Bikey 8.5 Looked impossible to pass him and he tried to pass out when possible.
Ben Haim 7.5 Didn't stand out like Bikey but calm and assured.
Gudmundsson 7 Worked back well and looked genuinely skillful at times. Pt one on a plate for George.
Jackson 6 Suffered with the pace early on but grew into it and supplied the corner for the goal.
Buyens 7 Again needed time to adjust to the pace but clearly has quality.
Cousins 6 Beavered away and helped RW see off the winger but not comfortable when forward on left.
Vetokele 8.5 Outstanding. Ran them ragged, forced a vg save with a header that still hit post, and scored with another.
Tucudean 5.5 Nice touch here and there but that's not enough; bit like Todorov. The only one of the foreign players who didn't seem to understand the energy levels that are needed.
Harriott 5.5 Clearly not quite fit; none of his usual hustle & bustle but nearly won it.

Henderson - 7.5 Some decent saves and takes, needs to be careful about taking too long over kicks
Solly - 6.5 Did ok but not indomitable, as we've been used to.
Wiggins - 6 Struggled, though decent effort on goal with right foot.
Bikey - 7.5 What a unit - very happy with this signing on this showing. Won everything.
Ben Haim - 7 Overall pretty solid but had a couple of shaky moments
Gudmonsson - 7 l like him - will be very good for us this season, and worked hard at both ends of the pitch
Jackson - 6 Struggled in a very deep role unfortunately - never hid though
Buyens - 6.5 Solid start - get the sense he knows his own game well. Will grow in influence as the season progresses
Cousins - 7 Couldn't get in the game at first as annoyingly still being played out of position. More influential in the 2nd half.
Vetokele - 8 MOM Took a while to find his feet, but clearly a step up from what we've been used to. Deserved his goal, and should give him confidence.
Tucudean - 5.5 Disappointing and should have scored, but allow for debut.
Harriott - 6 Should have scored, but wasn't a gimme.
BP 7 - set the team up well but don't like Cousins on the left -should have made the change at half-time with Harriott coming on for Tucudean (and playing on the left) with Cousins pushed nearer to Igor.0 -
Henderson 8 - generally solid and made two very good saves at 0-0 and 1-1
Solly 6.5 - didn't look himself but should be back to normal once the season is in full flow
Wiggins 6.5 - didn't look himself but should be back to normal once the season is in full flow
Bikey 7.5 - looked sluggish early and caught out with a couple of long balls early but afterwards won just about everything
Ben Haim 7 - didn't really notice him on the pitch much but that's not a bad thing for a defender
Gudmundsson 7.5 - pinged a fantastic pass to Tucudean in the first half, has a fantastic left foot but could have been more effective
Jackson 5.5 - off the pace but again contributes towards a goal
Buyens 7.5 - solid but not helped with Jackson alongside him in CM, would prosper far more alongside Cousins
Cousins 6 - not very effective out wide, needs to be playing alongside Buyens to be more effective
Vetokele 8.5 - a real danger all game long. Had his header gone in i'd have upgraded his rating to 9
Tucudean 6 - may find his feet once the season is in full flow but a better option than Church and Piggott
Harriott 6.5 - made a good impact coming off the bench, very unlucky not to score
a draw was probably a fair result given both teams hit the woodwork but given we had 7 debuants on the pitch there were a lot of positives to take from this one. Jackson needs to step aside now and allow Cousins to play alongside Buyens. I also felt in the first half the defence was a bit too shaky due to a debuant GK and two debuant CB's and felt we really needed Morrison in there. Hopefully this will resolve itself after a few games and the players are more familar with each other. A good point to build on.0 -

Henderson - 7 - made a couple of good saves, and seemed commanding in the box. But looks slow, and isn't quick to release and distribute the ball.
Solly - 8 - Superb, as usual.
Wiggins - 6 - Solid performance
Bikey - 7 - looked a bit slow in the first half, especially when the ball was played in behind him. Far more commanding in the second half and grew into the game.
Ben Haim - 7 - again, much better in the second half.
Gudmundsson - 6.5 - some nice touches, linked up well with solly at times.
Jackson - 6.5 - solid shift from jackson, got into a couple of good shooting positions in the first half that he's more than capable of scoring from
Buyens - 6 wasn't massively impressed, missed a couple of clearances on the edge of the box in the first half that could have been costly.
Cousins - 7 really grew into the game
Vetokele 8 - been a long time since we've had a striker that looks as sharp and as strong as him
Tucudean - 6 - reminded me of an unfit Yann; I think he will be good but didn't offer much
Harriott - 6.5 harried and ran when he came on, should have scored - at least the rebound which he was too slow to get to.
Really enjoyed the game; period in the second half when we were dominant was superb, and celebration of the goal was right in front of me. We'll be alright.0 -
