    Henderson - 8 Looked very assured
    Solly - 7.5 Immaculate as always. Real quality
    Wiggins - 6.5 Energetic
    Bikey - 8 Terrific performance in the second half and the type of player we have been missing
    Ben Haim - 6.5 Overshadowed by Bikey but still a good debut.
    Gudmundsson - 8 Very impressed with his speed and skill. Going to be a big threat this season. That through ball!!
    Jackson - 7 Did ok and showed some quality
    Buyens - 6.5 Not sure what to think. Only his debut so I am sure he will improve.
    Cousins - 7.5 Thought he did really well on the wing with some driving runs. Would be great to see him in the middle where he can really be a box to box performer.
    Vetokele - 8.5 MOM Excellent debut this guy is going to be a class act.
    Tucudean - 5 Wasn't impressed at all. Seemed slow and unable to hold the ball up. Only his debut so probably nervous but needs to improve.

    Harriott - Thought he added energy and an outlet but should have scored as he will know.

    I am out of the loop a bit but wasn't BP talking up Gomez a few weeks or so ago ? Any particular reason why he was not starting ?

    Mainly because he's only a kid and especially in a game like this one you are far better off going with bigger, more experienced defenders. Gomez is by no means ready to be a guaranteed starting player, his breakthrough may well come this season but it will be gradual. I imagine we may well see him play or even maybe start on Tuesday.

    Funny to see how all these ratings vary, and we all saw the same game, for some players i guess how they are evaluated also depends on their history for your club and individual like/dislikes of certain players. As a Charlton live virgin i watched the game on my telly and these are my ratings.

    Henderson 7 - looks solid enough as a goalie, a bit more accuracy in passing would be welcome
    Solly 7 - good reading of the game
    Wiggins 5.5 - looks shaky to me
    Bikey 7 - very commanding 2 nd half
    Ben Ham 6.5 - experienced and calm, decent passing
    Gudmundsson 6 - at first looks like an exiting player with silky touches but doesnt really do anything with it
    Jackson 5.5 - quite surprised by him in a negative sense, looks like he needs a lot of support to cope with the intensity
    Buyens 6 - quiet but effective, knows his game very well. He's a buffer and a fighter
    Cousins 7 - talented but positioning was disastrous (app he's not a winger) and badly timed runs/decision making
    Vetokele 8.5 - no guts no glory should be tattooed on his back, courage and determination
    Tucudean 4 - my gran is faster than him, looks like a player from the old days.

    Harriott 5.5 - what a miss, hope this guy has a strong mentality because that will ve haunted him.

    Tucudean 4 bad miss, lacked effort, pace and passing

    Harriott 1 his sole contribution was to shank an absolute sitter!!

    Stig Thundercock has history here. Tal Ben Haim could have scored a hat-trick and maybe scraped a 7. If you've already chosen to give ridiculous, petty and biased marks before kickoff, what's the point? I can't believe I'm the only one who's been flagging his pathetic player marks. A browse through his previous flags will prove instructive - lots and lots of fairly arbitrary-seeming 1s and 2s, clear biases, no sense of having watched the game
