I'm a very occasional boxing watcher so have far from a trained eye, but this Porter geezer looks a bit of a pub brawler. It's kinda working but it's not pretty.
Well the commentators seem surprised, but the guy who was trying to box won so fair play to him. Scored even by the British judge an given to him by the yank judges as well so no sense it was a dodgy decision.
Like the provodnykov fight, judges sometimes see who is doing the cleaner work
Chuffed to bits for kell and well happy ti be proven wrong, watched it a couple of hours ago and thought to my shock he was the stronger man in the second half of the fight
Hope he makes a defence against porter at home, he deserves that.
The last 6 rounds were easy to score the first not so much. Brook is a tough boy and thought he kept his composure really well. Porter only had one idea and Brook dealt with it

That was an odd one, a guy that I really rate. Certainly thought this was less clean cut, could have gone either way. Fair play to Hearn for making the fight. You'd not see a Warren boxer taking a bout like that.
He had me worried for a while, Porter started of like a house on fire but Kell grew into it.
I thought it was even fight if honest, couldn't believe how many points the American judges gave him.
Do you still like him despite the Blades relations?
I know him.
What's he like? He's had some bad press at times due to going off the rails for a while and being cocky (what boxer isn't), but I've always liked him and home he can go on from here and dominate.

He's a very decent and approachable lad, he's not cocky one bit, very grown up for his age if you asks me, you have to remember that he grew up on a council estate as well. Like you say all boxers have do have to have the 'cocky' attitude but out of the ring he's a nice down to earth lad.
Not really sure about how the press can say he's gone off the rails, when? he might have had problems with training etc but nothing major, maybe his biggest problem in life is the fact he supports the pigs and I'm sure Ryan Rhodes has tried to make him see sense over the years with that one
Tell you what though, Brendan Ingles gym at Wincobank has been a gold mine for finding boxers over the years.
Off the rails was more in the past with the assault, he seems to have left that nonsense behind him since the tag and comes across very well. Talented fighter no doubt!

Jabbing and moving is what's needed for Brook tonight.
Ringwalks atm
Brook deserves this decision 100%
Loved the quote after "Khan can get in the queue like everyone else."
So pleased for Kell and glad he proved me wrong by winning on points.
Don't know about the amir fight gentle feeling there will be a rematch here in UK with porter first

Watched it at 4am and had it dead level, watched it again this afternoon and had brook by 3.
Reckon he will fight Bundu now as a voluntary in Sheffield before maybe Khan next year

Would be a bit too risky for me personally.
Thurman/Porter rematch could come afterwards.

I'd love to see Kell v Khan in the future.
Seemed though to not have bought through as many as he was in the naz era
