someone said he wants to stay in London and go to the zoo to see some tigers,or does that really mean he is going to Lions v Southampton,oh my god hope not
  • Word on the street is , we are not , repeat not , signing Andy Delort , we are however signing his dad instead, as he's half the price, which means you can still go and get Delort emblazoned on the back of your Charlton shirt, bonza!

No news is good news or is it, no tell tale signs at the Valley this afternoon I'm afraid.

Just a few hardy souls parking up and heading to the coach for Derby away, and my old man (amongst others) buying tickets for Rotherham....

This thread doesn't feel complete without a daily update on what his dad is doing....

I don't buy all this 'we are his number 1 choice' rubbish. Delort is whoring himself out to any club in England that have shown an interest & will sign for whoever offers him the most money (as is his right). I really can't see it being us!

Ah but he favours CAFC as French is now the first spoken language at SL and VFR.

Both BB & RD are Flemish ... Katrien ... she's from Brussels, so ... hard to say. She could indeed be French speaking.

Katrien speaks as good French as Dutch, think her native language is dutch (her name would suggest so)

He must be gutted. All set to move to London and now he's ending up in Wigan of all places!

I hate these long drawn out transfers that always look like they are going nowhere. If the deal wasn't done quickly it was obvious it was never going to happen.

Charlton need another decent striker alongside Vetekele. So lets see what this plan B or C is then.

Decent left midfield / centre midfield / striker - play offs
    2 out of 3 - top 10
    1 out of 3 - midtable
0 out of 3 lower midtable

To be fair to Duchatelet, he won't be pushed about. I kind of respect that.

Be interesting to see if Roland can take this stance on a Player he doesnt want to sell too

If the amount in wages is massive compared to us than I understand it because he's looking for the best deal. However, if the numbers are close then I see no reason why any footballer would choose Wigan, ever.
