No offence taken. Should have made it clearer that it wasn't today this was supposed to have happened but some time recently.cafc_harry said:

Definitely bollox, he was in Manchester today, and probably went from there to Wigan.Fortune 82nd Minute said:I work with 2 Brentford supporters and one told me that when Delort rocked up at Brentford to discuss a move he was accompanied by 6 agents, all wanting paying for their part in his move. Don't shoot the messenger - just what I was told and could be complete nonsense (although guy who told me is not in the habit of making things up).0 -
Sorry - missed 4 page. Quelle occur0

Know what you mean, but if we want Duchatelet to retain his ambition for Charlton and to continue investing we need him to feel his strategy is working.Bolderhumphreyreid said:Am I the only one thinking I really couldn't care how much we pay for him or any other player?
If Bob wants him and Roly pays top whack then as long as we get him I couldn't care if we paid £10m for him. It's Roly's money and I'm sure he's not frivolous with it.
In days gone by it felt like 'Charlton' money, now it feels like the 'networks' money so if we don't get it another team will.
Selfish? Yes but I can't help feeling this way.
That means seeing our signings succeed in the Championship and their market value rising. We need more Vetokele's and Gudmundsson's and no more Parzyszek's. If Roland pays over the odds too often there's a risk he'll lose confidence in his scouts and rein in the transfer budget.
I think we should care a lot what we pay for Delort, if we do eventually sign him. It may really matter in the long-run.5 -
He looks like a complete knob! I said that earlier in the thread but felt like saying it again!4

Apparently he is in england4

Alles klar, Justin ;-)PragueAddick said:...Unfortunately, this is simply the German word meaning “unknown” which is why Bahebeck would appear to share the same agent as Cavani, Hazard, Toure, Sterling, and literally hundreds of other players.
So a little bit of scepticism might be in order.0 -
Some asking why he would be talking to other clubs when they haven't agreed a fee with Tours. Happens quite often when close to a transfer window closing. Owning club feel that a deal could be struck, so allow them to talk to the player in priciple, just to see if they agree terms with him. No point of the two clubs wasting 2 weeks of their time and effort thrashing out a deal, only for the player to turn the move down.
Makes sense to me.................0 -
I couldn't give two shits if we sign him, I hope Rolly and Robert tell him this is it, it's on the table sign it or Fuk off being played like fools imo3

Agreed. Would also like to the club to go one step further and place an ultimatum on the table to Tours. "This is our final offer, which expires tomorrow, so make a decision". At least then, we can move onto more realistic targets.................nth london addick said:I couldn't give two shits if we sign him, I hope Rolly and Robert tell him this is it, it's on the table sign it or Fuk off being played like fools imo

Chill mate. Reckon we've already f**** him off to be honest. Funny he's over here to speak to all and sundrie when apparently we were the only club for him. " His heart is on Chorlton"nth london addick said:I couldn't give two shits if we sign him, I hope Rolly and Robert tell him this is it, it's on the table sign it or Fuk off being played like fools imo
The fact that his old man/agent (if genuine?) likes to blab the ins and outs of a ducks arse to all that ask him probably got a big cross in Roland's book as well.
I said when all this started that the fella looks agg. We've moved on,I hope.

No need to set a deadline as the transfer window IS the deadline.
Tours know that, Delort knows that, we know that.0 -
Right, I'm off to Amsterdam at 6am and I probably won't know how this has panned out til I get back Saturday so -
If Andy's signed then 'welcome aboard, i have every faith that you'll have been worth the wait, can't wait til you start banging them in'.
Or
If Andy has gone elsewhere then 'didn't want you anyway, but how dare you treat us with such disdain? Don't think of ever darkening our door, you're dead to me'.
Sorted. See y'all soon!8 -
You would think this Andy Delort bloke was Lionel Messi the way this thread has gone. If he doesn't want to sign for us then move on.
I hadn't heard of him two three weeks ago and quite frankly if i don't see his name again it wouldn't bother me.
It's getting bloody boring.

Lol those days are gone RC, strictly cultural nowadays. Reijksmuseum is refurbished and fully open now so going to lose myself in some art.
Honestly :-)1 -

You need to do it properly and offer to "meet" before the next home game to "discuss" the issue...0 -

Agreed, and not any old where has to be the Libs :-00 -
No way we'd have all our eggs in the Delort basket. RD ain't stupid. We'd already have a Plan B lined up and personally I'd be happy with that right now because Delort or his agent or his Dad or maybe all three seem to be dicking us about right now.
Saying that I'd doubt RD and BP have their knickers in a twist like most here seem to have over this situation.4 -
why all the spite shown to AD? Its a bit childish don't you think? Nobody knows if anyone is dicking us around. Just as likely that RD is playing hardball. He is a tough businessman after all. This is how some transfers go when there's a number of interested parties. Perhaps its been a long time since dear old CAFC have been trying to sign sort after players. Better get used to it4
-
This is brinkmanship on behalf of roland. If there ends up being better offers from wigan or wolves i don't think cafc will be draged into an auction but could we not say, pay two thirds of what Tours want with the other third paid if he reaches 15 goals where his value would rocket as we have seen with McCormack last season. Wigan's needs are even greater than ours and i could see Rosler try to convince DW to splash the cash to get one over big Bob.0
-
So we can put it to bed, move on and concentrate on other targets, instead of playing this silly time wasting game of who blinks first.................Henry Irving said:<
