    Riiight but millions of people also watch Towie, X Factor and Skating on Ice. Our moronic public will watch anything. What I asked was how he got his own show in the first place. Supposedly a panel of 'experts' agreed that he should have his own programme, which to me is baffling.

    Because 5 million watch him, which more than adequately drags in enough market share for what is basically a cheapo show with one bloke, a couple of guests a couple of quick sketches and an up and coming wannabe who will work for peanuts.
    It isn't rocket science, but it is cheap television (much, much cheaper than TOWIE and the others you list) and 5 million plus enjoy it.

    It's not exactly a shock that some people like a comedian and some don't, is it?
    Like art it is subjective.

    It seems to me that a lot of the negative posters on here have lost their remote controls and use of their legs or arms. Dont like someone trying to make the world a better place? Turn over. RH isn't exactly forcing himself into your living room is he?
    Just a really nice guy trying to raise a few laughs.

    Go and be baffled by something more complex.

    No, it is me who should be sorry for understanding that different people find different things funny and for trying to explain that this is the concept behind the reason RH was given a series.

    Absolutely. It'd be boring if we all enjoyed the same comedians, and there's loads I don't find funny but I do feel quite strongly that RH is stealing a living because he's not funny.

    How can I help what I'm baffled by?
