Marko Dmitrovic has joined on an 18-month deal0
-
How many Keepers do we have now?
Where's Thuram-Ulien when you need him.0 -
Is it me or does Dmitrovic look like Jackson with a bit less hair?Charlton_Stu said:NEWS - PART TWO: Charlton complete signing of stopper Marko Dmitrovic on 18-month deal - http://www.cafc.co.uk #cafc pic.twitter.com/4cUu8moMVr

RD really never does learn, does he....
I could pick one of, if not the, best player out of Hungarian top tier (Nikolics a striker of Videoton) and he'd struggle in the Championship 100%, and we go for a goalkeeper who's played 12 games since 2010 and can't fit into a mid-table Ujpest side.3 -
Well we all knew this news was coming yet I'm still shockingly underwhelmed. Why can't we at least announce the signing of Watt as well? Not convinced he'll be the answer, but he's a striker at least.0

Found this last bit slightly concerning.
Not getting a game with Ujpest so can come here to prepare. Sounds a bit Reza-esque
Still, welcome and good luck. Hope you start as well as the last former Yugoslavian keeper we signed.
“He is a Serbia U21 international and is over here to compete for his place and also prepare for the European U21 Championships in the summer.

Even signing new players is tedious these days.
Is that new keeper even uglier than Deano ?
Bet he's not as good though.1 -
It's getting to the point where I would be delighted if we signed even the most bog standard, English journeyman that has at least got experience of the Championship.4
-
Young keeper out on loan where he will play, we bring in another young keeper who will likely just be back-up.
Dont really see much problem with this.
Now we need to get serious with bringing quality in.1 -
wheres the confirmed stamp?0
-
I don't know what I'm more pissed off about:
1. Yet another bloody network cast-off
2. A done deal being posted on Paulie's RUMOURS thread. He'll go bloody spare, Tin hats on lads.3 -
I think @paulie8290 thought @callumcafc was taking the piss too much and so beat him to death with it.twiggyaddick said:wheres the confirmed stamp?

Wasn't RD quoted as saying that part of the networks raison d'être was to be a conduit for young players to be able to experience playing football and living in different cultures as part of their life and football experience growth ?
Think this is one of the quirks in RD's experiment.
Pope will get his mojo back by getting games at Bury and The new guy learns english as number two to Etheridge.
It's all perfectly logical.3 -
why is he number two to Etheridge? Not as if Etheridge is Gordon Banks is it. I mean, couldn't even get a game for Oldham recently.1

Think Etheridge has done alright since he's come in the side.LargeAddick said:why is he number two to Etheridge? Not as if Etheridge is Gordon Banks is it. I mean, couldn't even get a game for Oldham recently.

Glad that Pope has been loaned out, needs some more experience before coming back to us for next season.
Im hoping Etheridge keeps his place for now at least, as the new kid feels very Reza like(as Henry said), getting another network asset ready for a summer tournament to put him in the shop window, hopefully we have no requirement from board level to give him a go if he is not best keeper we have on the books.1 -
I would say we could test him out in the cup.... Oh wait3

If a professional footballer is not fit surely he is not what we need. The Red Robin said:
He often retweets Charlton fans asking him to come back etc. I think he'd jump at the chance to come here. If we could get him permanently and get him fit he'd be a good signing.Swisdom said:

One keeper couldn't get a game for ujpest
One keeper couldn't get a game for Oldham
One keeper is one his way to bury
This is a shambles10 -
Sounds a bit Thuram-esque preparing for the France WC squad…don't laugh.Henry Irving said:Found this last bit slightly concerning.

#millwall have agreed a loan deal until the end of the season with #cafc for Simon Church, who will now decide whether he wants the move.

In effect they have. His contract runs out end of season.1
