    Anyone seen Bradford's goals todays?
Jon Steads performance is exactly what we need at the moment!

Agreed but anyone who actually thinks any Championship team should sign John Stead based on one game is hereby charged with the Offence of Pardew which is punishable by castration followed by a lifetime season ticket with the Ultras.

didn't say we should sign him thought , did I ? Just meant that how he played today is exactly what we need!

Not read thread but it's prolly been said before but Lawrie Wilson to meet up with SCP has a good chance of going through before the end of the window

Not surprised mate because if there's supposed to be two or three coming in next week, there's likely to be some movement the other way.
Haven't been on for a whIle so missed it but where has the incoming player rumour come from?

Not surprised he was rubbish in that match seeing he werent there.

Jon Stead has never played for Spurs and he only made his League debut for Huddersfield Town in 2002...

Jack Grealish on loan would be good.

Read that Lambert fined Grealish because he said he wanted to go on loan to play some exciting football. Don't blame him really as Villa have been dire since Lambert took over.

Maybe the chairman would have a better chance of selling the club if he removed Lambert.
  • At the end of the last transfer window we missed out on 2 players because we couldn't get the deals done in time, does anyone know who these players were? Wonder if we are still interested.

I think it came out that one was Alain Traore and another was Jelle Vossen who went to Boro

Please lets not sign another Traore, the other one still gives me nightmares.

He is playing for Burkina Faso in African Cup of Nations at the moment, so that is probably a no go
  • Wonder if our scouts are watching Bristol City - West Ham. After Bob and co went to watch them.

Seems like a lost cause now though, I'd expect.

Matt Smith? On loan to Bristol City from Fulham until 25th Feb.

    Good hold up player.
  • Thought Smith had very little skill on show. A few headers but never had the movement to show as a hold-up player. Very little linking play. Our ex-M Smith a better player.

    One of these was Delort.

    Hope not.

He'd fit in well at Charlton then!

Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin is ready to wait before signing a new contract at the club, writes the Mail on Sunday.

The Frenchman is out of contract in the summer and the Gunners are readying a new deal but the 23-year-old is ready to wait to see if he is still in the first team when Jack Wilshere returns from injury before committing his future to the north London club.
