Yep. Good player with even better potential. I know that Bournemouth have money but they're making a mockery of spending limits.

They were linked with Macmanaman of Wigan recently, he'd cost a few million I would think.
  • Isnt it a case where they're spending the money in the hope it gets them to the Premier League... Should they succeed they'll get the Premier League income which'll make up for this spending whilst if they fail they'll then have to face the consequences (in short failing may not be an option for Bournemouth this season!!)

Marvin Elliott has extended his contract with Crawley Town until the end of the season. The midfielder joined the club on a month-to-month contract in September after being released by Bristol City.

Missed out on him again. First Darren Purse, now this.

How are Bournemouth spending all this money and staying within FFP limits??? "SSN understands" that they've made a bid worth 4m for an 18 year old Birmingham winger...

Are you questioning that their owner is a fit and proper person who has worked within the rules throughout his business career?

They got a big wedge, when Soton sold Lallana to Liverpool.

Isn't there a limit on loan players?

Bournemouth are bankrolled by a mini Abramovich and have a false company paying them sponsorship money to be on the front of the shirt. Perhaps RD can sponsor the bottom of the socks for £25m or something and we can do the same

Joe Edwards of Yeovil linked by Sky
  • Do we have the same UK scouting network as Birmingham or has Roland sent out instructions to just look interested in all the players Birmingham are, so we look busy?

Midfielder / Fullback only 5'8'' aged 24 with 111 appearances for Yeovil, first 20 whilst on loan from Bristol City. Fails the height test or could he be another Chris Solly?

Great hold up play by Stead. A player who never seemed to quite reach his potential

City seriously minted and in automatic place. More likely insurance for them Unlikely to sell anyone.

Paul Coutts had his contract cancelled by Derby and has joined Sheffield United on a free.

I know we were interested a few seasons back. He could have been decent for us on a free

Agreed but anyone who actually thinks any Championship team should sign John Stead based on one game is hereby charged with the Offence of Pardew which is punishable by castration followed by a lifetime season ticket with the Ultras.

Just like all modern sentences far too lenient.

Went to the Chelsea game today. Stead was really good today. I was thinking what a strong player he was. His hold up play was immense. Was so funny watching Chelsea fans getting upset with their multi million pound team. They should be charlton fans and they would know what being frustrated is all about.
  • Not read thread but it's prolly been said before but Lawrie Wilson to meet up with SCP has a good chance of going through before the end of the window

With Lee Peltier just leaving for Cardiff that could be a possibility.

Not surprised mate because if there's supposed to be two or three coming in next week, there's likely to be some movement the other way.
