When doing their internet searches on www.anyoldplayer_europe.com , are our scouts selecting "Centre forward" from the pull down menu?

  • Excellent, another defender with lower league experience. Just as well we don't need an experienced striker, winger and attacking midfielder.

He likes a clean sheet does Guy and with all these CBs we'll have, if all the rumours turn out to be true, defending set pieces ought not be a problem anymore. Mind you the problems at the other will remain but at least the nineteen 0-0 draws ahead of us should achieve survival on 51 points.

A google translate of a Spanish article:

The march of the Valencian allow the Levante player can join another player , preferably for a striker contrasted
In the last week of the winter market Levante has opened its doors wide for with the aim to make room for the three signings you want to perform . Next on to pack be Hector Rodas . The center is about to close a deal with Charlton Athletic who play in the Championship, the second tier of English football. His agents have profiled the termination of contract with the club Orriols while now negotiating the contract with the British club.

Rhodes , 26 , trained in the school of Levante, has had several offers for the month of January. A Greek football which was unsuccessful and over Betis . Finally his will be allocated in the British Isles , where would sign a two and a half seasons .

The march of the Valencian player allows at least the Levante can join another player. The priority is to strengthen the sooner the attack , so have accelerated efforts to Kalu Uche sooner terminated its relationship with the Al- Rayyan , Cataria that owes a significant amount of money team .

Other players who are on the ramp are goalkeeper Jesus Fernandez and Victor Perez , although more outlets are not discarded at the insistence of Lucas Alcaraz have a smaller workforce . The outputs of these latter two allow the arrival of goalkeeper Asier Riesgo and central Iván Ramis.

that's good. I was getting worried the club didn't understand that we need English Championship savvy players that are capable of playing more than 20 games without getting knackered/injured.

    Twitter.

When he claims to be 'in the know' (i.e just been told) he means he did a Twitter search for 'Charlton Athletic'.

Right, dinner finished and Morse has managed to work out the killer and has explained the obscure and complicated reason. There's a surprise. Now, who is this player who's going to fill the gap in the team and silence the doubters........a 26 year old Spanish defender who has played a few games for Levante in La Liga -

    http://uk.soccerway.com/teams/spain/levante-union-deportiva/2036/

Levante curee 19th of 20 with a goal difference of minus 22. That Duchatelet and Meire, they really know how to silence the doubters.

At least at 6ft 3 Rodas passes the height test.

I think I'd probably understand the Spanish version better..........and no, I don't speak Spanish......

Lower league experience? Mid table in La Liga! No disrespect but facing Churchino in training won't have him reaching for the Imodium.

Levante are second from the foot of the table (see Soccerway link above).

Might mean TBH and/or Bikey are going, especially if we also sign Sarr?

He's a bit more than a lower league player. Levante have been in the Spanish top tier since 2010/11 and he seems to have been a squad player for them. He's 26 so a good age. Saying that it would make letting Morrison go even more stupid, unless he comes in and is a clear improvement.

Hope we do also get a couple of attacking players in, as we need them before we can even think about letting anyone go.

It means very little but if FM is accurate he could be a good signing. Of our European signings in the past year I'd say FM has got Vetokele, Buyens, JBG and Ajdarevic about right, but Thuram, Parzyszek, Nego, Reza, Tucudean have all looked overrated.

I think there is a clue that Onyewu didn't get into the squad on Saturday. Maybe he is on his way? There was also a rumour that Ben Haim was interesting a Club in Israel.

Very diplomatically put. I can think of a four letter word for them involving asterisks beginning with S and ending in T.
