I am not entirely sure what people are expecting. We look like we are about to sign a couple of defenders from Sporting Lisbon and Levante - both top flight teams in their respective countries.
We are also rumoured to be looking at a guy from Plymouth - 21 year old centre half who has played 146 times for him team and is their captain (so you would think he has a bit about him
Or Jed Wallace at Portsmouth who has been very highly rated and again fits the type of player we are linking ourselves with.
Finally there is talk of a striker from "Division one"
And all for a rumoured outlay of around £3m

I think Wigan know they are going down so are offloading players now whilst they can still get a decent fee. A lot of their players won't have relegation clauses so their wage bill will be massive in Div 1.Charlton_Stu said:

I agree in that they can't risk going down and their players actually devaluing in regard to transfer value plus those players maybe remaining on high wages. It looks like that if they get a decent offer now they will take it rather than risk losing money. As it is they may not lose money on Forshaw as the fee they paid was probably less than the 4m reported and if they sell for around the same initial fee they paid there will be little or no sell-on fee due to Brentford.0
