    Is it just me or do the shorts look a bit too dark to be white on the negative when Cousins is doing tricks on the pitch? That and the WE ARE RED (no white mentioned) is a bit concerning. Please no red shorts.

    he does mention White on the kit but its hard to hear

    Better to farm it out to a company in the UK that has links to and relationships with manufacturers in China. Going direct to China would be risky (in the sense of having no product/kit), unless you were actually going to send someone to Shanghai/Guangzhou etc to place the order.

    Once you factor in a margin for that company on all the various orders and their involvement in design etc, you're probably looking at something that could be much more expensive.

    In my experience, the kind of small companies who are accessible, cheap and have good links with the Far East would have no interest in designing your product for you and would require you to provide everything exactly to plan (or else you end up with standard tshirts). I doubt there would be anyone in the club who would actually be able to do that to a high enough standard, so that involves another, more expensive company. Not sure how the kits are transported to the UK, but I would guess by boat where possible. The small UK companies would be less likely to have regular shipments from China into which Charlton's kit could be lumped, so the whole order for the year would need to be placed at the start (probably about a month or two ago), or else risk paying higher airfrieght charges.

    I say all this about China. For football kits you would probably be looking at Bangladesh or India. I'm not sure how much power Nike, Adidas etc have over the factories there. I would guess that it's a lot.

    Isn't it just the new shirt that is being revealed on saturday, rather than the full kit? I may have that wrong but, if not, sounds promising that we are going to go back to a predominantly red shirt.

    Doesn't he just say he liked the white on the last one but this one is nice without it?

    in the video it looks like the shorts and sleeeves are a darker colour than the shirt

    Fair enough, not questioning the reasoning behind putting a video out there.

    Personally, I thought it appears a bit cobbled together and looks bizarre when visually it's so far doctored that you can't even make out who the player modelling it is. Audio is grating as well ...but maybe that's just TWWW's accent!

    Frankly it doesn't really matter. Those that are going to buy it will have already decided to do so and those that are not are unlikely to change their minds.

    On a separate note I used to get really excited when I was younger when the new kits were revealed, and I thought the recent attempts at generating interest but having photos of a sleeve or a hem line were rubbish. even though I've already seen the China top (and believe those that are sure it's that one) I'm still looking forward to seeing it.

    I will be buying my son one as soon as it is available, and I might even buy one for myself this year.

    I'll be buying myself one. It's just nice to wear the shirt when having a kick about with mates. It's that and at the game that it gets worn, nowhere else.

    Yes, when the kit is one of a limited choice out of a catalogue, it's hard to create much of a buzz

    Me too, I just heard that the away kit is going to be white with a red diagonal strip so not sure if it will be like that.

    I think I'm probably in a minority that likes quirky kits like this. Don't really understand the fuss around minimalist/retro kits. During a certain period of time they were suitable, but very dull nowadays.

    If that's right the bell that made that decision is so out of touch with local football knowledge they're prolly sad Millwall got relegated

    Hopefully I'm outraged for no reason!

    The team of the 80s had a red/blue stripe. The red stripe is completely different!
