Macron and Joma still around. Who else is there that isn't around? Osca?
Not sure we ever had an Admiral shiort but at one stage they were big shirt suppliers to clubs, are they still around.
I wonder if the club came out with a £25 shirt they would be able to offset the lower profit margin with higher volume. Obviously someone like Nike would not allow it, but maybe a local manufacturer.
We had Admiral 1988-1991 think it was. Grey away shirt, admiral logos down the sleeves. The second (relegation) home shirt was really nice. Small collar, simple design. It looked great in the Chelsea win when Morts scored a cracker.

We should definitely go back to one of the smaller suppliers once the Nike deal is over. Nike, Adidas, Puma etc might make some nice bespoke kits for the big clubs but, while we outside the Prem at least, we will only get one of their stock kits. Personally, I want Charlton to be the only one's playing in our kit.

So does everyone else which is why they put that red and black badge on it. You know the one with the sword, and the words Charlton Athletic?
As a small club we have other problems with having a bespoke kit. It is difficult/expensive to get numbers in the club shop quickly and due to the costs associated with production the economies of scale are not there so the unit price rises. Now it's, entirely, possible that the benefits that come with the economies of scale are swallowed by the manufacturer, but it's also possible that we would, actually, make more money from a kit that looks like other clubs (from one of the bigger manufacturers) that we would from a small club that makes us an original.
From the perspective of associated clothing I'd be more inclined to buy something from a brand that I normally buy from than a name that I've never heard of and disappears in no time. Maybe it's us, but many of the previous manufacturers we've had don't seem to be trading anymore - a bit like the sponsors.
Not everything in football has to be or, in fact, should be about chasing a pound note. How many shirts do we sell each season? 5,000 maybe, probably a big overestimate. What might we make, 2 quid more a shirt? Not really enough to justify comprising the clubs individuality for imho.

Even if your numbers are correct that's £10,000, and I'd be surprised if we only sell 5,000 shirts, especially when you factor in that we have at least two a season (home and away). Fane have been complaining for weeks about a £25 uplift in the price of a season ticket.
I can't think of many businesses that wouldn't be fussed for £10k.
Two lucky fans will be the first to get their hands on Charlton's new 2015/16 home shirt on the final day of the season against AFC Bournemouth.
The club will reveal the new top before the game against the Cherries on Saturday, May 2nd (12.15pm) – a game which could have major implications in the race for promotion to the Premier League.
It will also be the last time to see the Addicks in Championship action at The Valley for more than three months and supporters are being encouraged to bring a friend on the day.
Any season-ticket holder, Valley Gold member or Red Card holder who buys a ticket for the game should quote the promotional code 'Valley1415' when making their booking.
The names of all those who have encouraged a friend to come to the game will then be put into a draw on the day of the fixture.
While the shirts won't be available to buy until later in the summer, one winner will be picked out at random at the Bournemouth game and be given two 2015/16 home tops – one for them and another for the fan they have brought with them.
As an added bonus both shirts will be signed by Jordan Cousins and Tony Watt, who have been at The Valley for a secret photoshoot this week ahead of the home kit launch.
Fans can enter by picking up a ticket, or encouraging a friend to do so, from the Valley Ticket Office in person or by calling 03330 144444.
The fixture has been classified as an Addicks Silver fixture and available to season-ticket holders, Valley Gold members and Red Card members with a purchase history of two or more games since the start of the 2013/14 season.
Depending on what zone supporters sit in tickets for the match are priced at £15, £20, £24, £28 or £31 for adults, £11, £14, £16, £20 or £22 for concessions and U21s, £7 or £10 for U18s and £3 or £5 for U11s.

I know this sounds a little picky but this competition is open to anyone that buys a ticket for the game and quotes a reference.
So does that exclude anyone that has already bought their ticket for the game?
I assume it also excludes anyone that has a season ticket and, therefore, purchased their ticket thirteen months ago?
So a season ticket holder that sits in the seats being given to Bournemouth pays for their seat then thirteen months later it is given to someone else for the day and to add insult to injury they are excluded from the draw for a free shirt!

I'd prefer a bespoke kit personally. I do love our third kit this season though...

Staggering!
