Carling Cup second round draw (Peterborough away)

  • Pompey away for me ideally, the only game i could actually get home after on a midweek night.
  • Home tie preferably as I will make the effort and attend a league cup game for the first time in years. As we've now got a manager that actually wants to win games rather than one that doesn't want to lose games then matches can't come round quick enough...outside of London midweek isn't practical for me so next round has to be at home...

home tie hopefully win and then get one of the London based pl teams away as easy to get to and would hopefully have quite a big attendance.

That would suit me as well, holiday in Isle of Wight that week.

How do they conduct the draw? Ie - how do you decide whether a seeded team is home or away? Because you can't have them all in one pot for risk of a seeded/seeded or unseeded/unseeded tie...

think they alternate the home/away ties for the seeded teams.

without reading in full, does this mean we can't get a prem side in this round?

Pompey away would suit me too. 10 minute walk to Fratton Park for me.
  • Pompey at home would have a decent atmosphere.

And a good opportunity to applaud Danny Hollands .

Watching Derby game now. What's with the camera angle?! It's crap - so low to the pitch it is hard to follow the game.

    Elf & safety, apparently, Damo.

    Why should a 3ft 6in Elf be a camera man ?
    This PC world is mad.

It means exactly that. Also won't play any of the better Championship teams.

Made a big error, in not keeping that mid week free.
After not missing a home match for 3 and a half years.
Friendlies, cup or League (after leaving Sales Job)
Sorry to be selfish but Hartlepool away will be my choice in 2nd round !

If only, then I could see the industrial waste lands for myself.
I would have changed plans if it had been the 3rd round.

York away would be ideal for me. I'd be tucked up in bed by 10:45.

God, do Sky have a hard on for Leeds or what? Describing Doncaster possibly beating Leeds as a giant-killing despite the fact they're one division apart and they were in the same division two seasons ago.
