Was near enough 800/1, thought I had a real chance but alas it wasn't to be!0 -
Norway were leading that group earlier on this evening. Now they've fallen to the play-offs as an unseeded team. Oops!0

Wales only beating Andorra 2-0 and losing to Bosnia shows why I dont get the hype surrounding them at the moment.
If they dont get a very favorable group in the Euros then their best hope could be to finish 3rd and hope that they dont finish as one of the two worst 3rd place teams to ensure they get through to the 2nd Round (Same with Northern Ireland)0 -
All over in Latvia. Turkey are qualified as the best third placed team.0

If you've never qualified since 1958 you won't care. And a lot comes down to tension (in the first game) and lack of drive (the second game) that teams often show after a massive achivementForeverAddickted said:Wales only beating Andorra 2-0 and losing to Bosnia shows why I dont get the hype surrounding them at the moment.

How do you work that out? Latest rating has Denmark ahead of Hungary.Callumcafc said:But as Turkey have pipped Hungary to the automatic qualification, Hungary take Denmark's seed for the play-offs.
Not sure if ROI's win over Germany gives them a chance of being seeded ahead of both0 -
Belgium are now ranked 1 in Fifa Rankings.
Absolutely laughable.4 -
Dont get me wrong am delighted that they're there... am more disappointed that Scotland and Republic of Ireland couldnt hold on against Poland and so try to ensure that all Home Nations qualified.killerandflash said:

What'll help Wales (and Northern Ireland) is the fact that there is usually so much pressure on that first match, lose it and you HAVE to win the second to try and ensure that you stay in the competition, now because you can qualify from Third (Unless your one of the two worst teams in that position) you can afford to lose that first match so there is even hope for England getting out of the Groups0 -
Was just reading it online. Also seen others saying Denmark are seeded.IA said:

Trying to get to the bottom of it. Possible that the latest results could've effect the co-efficients in Hungary's favour.0 - Sponsored links:

I can't recall Hungary getting many good results since June. Draw with Northern Ireland and defeat in Greece. I'm having a look at it, but looks like Denmark, Bosnia, Hungary and ROI are all close from 3rd-6th. I think two wins for Bosnia this month will probably make them seeds.Callumcafc said:

How can the Dutch go from walloping the reigning world champions on the biggest stage there is to being an utter shambles. I know football doesn't strictly follow predictable patterns but strewth!
Fair play to the Welsh and Northen Ireland. It would have been very easy for them to fall into doing what they normally do especially in Wales case but they have kept things professional and carried on what was put in place by Gary Speed. Northern Ireland also need a pat on the back for having their better eligible players decide to play for the Republic and being a very effective unit.
England have won every single game. I don't recall us ever doing that. Point to us having an easy group but we were all over the shop after the world cup. I just hope we can compete next summer and give this very young group a springboard3 -
England's "easy group" contained Switzerland who took Argentina to extra time in the Last 16 of the World Cup, none of the teams in Netherlands group even qualified for the last World Cup.4
-
I've done some rough calculations based on this guide to calculations and this current rating
On the current rating, Denmark and Bosnia would be seeded and Hungary and ROI would not.
Of those four teams, ROI did the best since June. Denmark did the worst.
On my rough calculations, Bosnia would be seeded. ROI would not. Knife edge between Denmark and Hungary for the last seeded spot. I think Denmark will just finish ahead.
Based on the UEFA rankings, at least 2 of the top 24 teams in Europe will lose in the playoffs, plus another two who are already out.0 -
This calculation has Hungary as seeded, just 2 points ahead of Denmark0

It would be ironic if N Ireland qualify and the Republic (with many players from the North in the team) miss out...Carter said:How can the Dutch go from walloping the reigning world champions on the biggest stage there is to being an utter shambles. Marc Wilson
Darron Gibson
James McClean
They're the only ones on the ROI Wiki page. I doubt McClean would line out for NI if he wasn't allowed play for ROI.1 -
Denmark are unseeded. Doesn't really mean much IMHO as all the playoff teams appear quite evenly matched.Callumcafc said:

Tough to predict which teams will come out on top.2 -
There's also McGeady and McCarthy who are Scottish...plus Rob Elliot from GreenwichIA said:

I can see both sides on the N Irish issue, Windsor Park can be a pretty intimidating if down right nasty place for Republicans, I can understand why many catholics wouldn't want to play there. On the other hand, what seems unfair is the the N Ireland association (which is hardly rich) brings through young players through their system, only for them to be pinched by the Republic if they're any good0 -
Where is Martin O'Neill from?0

Or Sven Goran Eriksson.

I know its not Euro 2016 but unlucky to Mikkail Kennedy last night playing for Northern Ireland U21s as they lost 2-1 against Macedonia
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34523250
Mikhail Kennedy spurned a great chance to put Northern Ireland back in front when he shot wide when clean through and two minutes after that Macedonia snatched the winner through Markoski.
You truly know you play for Charlton when that happens to you1 -
