***Could someone from the club please explain how this is progress.***

Only it is quite difficult to spot where two years of progression is evident in our performances and League position.
Katrien, this really needs a proper full and respectful answer from the club you oversee.
Because at the moment your reputation and credibility are in tatters. Not just here, but increasingly across football. People are beginning to notice. We have not got the biggest fan base, but a lot of people have a certain affection for us.
Someone in the club needs to recognise that there needs to be some answers and some proper action to rectify what is happening.
Over to you owners of Charlton Athletic.

She's met the 'fans' so that's the "engage with the customers" box ticked on her annual appraisal. I doubt there will be any further exchanges, just glib messages and press releases about targets, sofas and season tickets.4

You're wasting your time. To her, you don't have a right to an opinion or aright to question their management. They think the club belongs to them. They are wrong of course, they own the assets but we own the club. I support economical damage action. Everything now to damage the income of the club we should support.11

As Meire reminded us neatly a year ago at the time of the Luzon appointment debacle:
“Of course I can understand their frustration and they have every right to be [frustrated],” she said. “But I hope they understand the owner wants the best for Charlton. He does it his way and they need to accept that.
“They will not always agree with our decisions. No fans in the world will always agree with the decisions of the board. I always try to take into account the fans, but sometimes you have to make hard decisions.4 -
But that just cannot cut it anymore, you can get away with those sort of comments if you are doing reasonably ok, or just a little better, but this is now a completely different matter.Oakster said:As Meire reminded us neatly a year ago at the time of the Luzon appointment debacle:

We are back where we started, looking worse off, losing games heavily. So where is this progress ?

But according to Meire, at that fans meeting a few weeks ago - we are doing better3blokes said:

I can't see Adolf or his little Eva making any more statements in the near future.3

I got flagged for getting very upset at that statement a year ago. I'm no less angry at it nowOakster said:As Meire reminded us neatly a year ago at the time of the Luzon appointment debacle:

“We hope Karel Fraeye will change things and bring us back to mid-table which we have the squad for. We believe we have a better squad than our position. He has identified problems. We will give him all the help he deserves."
How's that help working out then?21 -
I know, but that was before where we are now with our recently appointed Interim Head Coach.
The time has come for a proper response from the club on what is happening.

They are progressing, academy on track, relegation on track
Once they have established the club in League 1 possible even league 2 it should be easier to shop window the academy youngsters and sell them on at a profit.
Simple break even.
What about the supporters? We are just a nuisance, a footballer factory doesn't need annoying plebs whinging about a once proud club, history blah boring blah.
So there you have it folks, now you know your place put or shut up.
That is the way I feel we are valued by these people and it's breaking my heart. I used to have the tingle when a smelt the fried onions and burgers on match day at the valley. Now days I just wonder why I bother, maybe a wont for much longer, we will see.

We have some journalist fans?
Surely they should be getting the story out there on a national scale? If not personally then through the many contacts they will have?6 -
But being in at least the Championship makes our academy much more attractive to players and parents than being a L1 club. The higher the level a player plays at, the higher the transfer fee as well.throughthickandthin said:They are progressing, academy on track, relegation on track

I do believe that Jonathan Maitland is a Charlton supporter - perhaps he could use "Tonight" to present our case.sirjohnhumphrey said:We have some journalist fans?
