It's a shambles at Charlton. The CEO just doesn't know what she's doing it's simple.

I'm just surprised at the number of 'internal' jobs there are at CAFC Towers.

    Sadly it's true.

She was on the Upbeats walk today - fair play to her - but she is incredibly upset about departing.

Really lovely lady, just like Mel was up for the fight. One communication has caused a lot of shit!

We need a mock up of the Fawlty Towers sign outside the Valley ;)

@Swisdom can you clear up why she resigned?

Was it the Roland Rant or the recruitment agency calling her?

I would have thought that Daisy wouldn't have the necessary experience or skill to do that.

She didn't say exactly but it was Not the recruitment agency story. That's not true

She's really upset but said the story that's "out there" isn't true

Cheers Steve, when I heard it originally a little while back the Roland Rant was the trigger but guess there are usually a few factors.

Am sorry to learn of this. I met Felicity for the first time after the Birmingham game and it was obvious to me that she's a decent person. The best of luck to her.

If she had resigned then it's a complete non story.

I once had to train my replacement after resigning.

Basically woman looking for a new job mistakenly asked by recruitment company if she was interested in the one she had resigned from.

Replacement for what? Not for what happens with your Dad on a Tuesday night surely?

I met her at the Training day Experience along with Mel Baroni. Both seemed very nice and good for Charlton. The club seems unable to keep good staff and both jobs are a poisoned chalice.

That's my understanding as well. Although it wouldn't surprise me if she received a call from an agency to boot.

Why can't they see how disfunctional and what a joke they are? Seriously, why?

Sorry, being a bit thick I know, but is what's being said that she has quit after agents working for the club tapped her up for her own job?

Even "The Office" never had a scene like this. Comedy Gold, if it wasn't happening at our football club.

Noted the comments above re my tweet. All I can tell you is that there seem to have been conflicting versions inside the club yesterday, never mind outside.

What is clear is that the club have downgraded the role from "head of commercial" to "commercial manager", which will be to cut the salary.

I don't know Felicity but I apologise to her if I compounded the confusion. It's pretty telling neither she nor Mel Baroni have lasted eight months in the Meire/Keohane-led shambles.

I'm sure that what emerges into the public domain is just the tip of the iceberg.

Pretty sure if she's been there less than a year there's no grounds fro constructive dismissal. The telling thing is that they cant keep employees, fans and probably once their contracts are up, players because everyone connected with the club cant help but see the disgrace it has become. How far back have we fallen in the last 2 years? It would almost be harder to fuck it up this badly deliberately. I cannot describe (on here) exactly how much I despise RD and KM.

I do still wonder if it is all a deliberate way of running down the club and the fanbase to achieve a bigger financial goal (probably to do with the sale or redevelopment of The Valley).
Surely nobody could be this incompetent.

Or could it be to make the wage bill smaller and therefore making the club appear more viable to prospective buyers........as you can tell I haven't got a clue about these things, maybe I should apply for a job at the club?

Even though I tried more than once I couldn't get half way through those hugely repetitive jargon-ridden job details before my eyes glazed over and my brain seized up. Surely the role to be filled and the qualities sought in the candidates could more clearly and engagingly be conveyed in few concise sentences appropriate to the club's situation?

When I see this kind of stuff I don't know whether the employer simply lacks the wit to break out of a standard cut-and-paste approach urged upon them by a lazy recruitment agent, or whether agency and employer are engaged in some sort of conspiracy (conscious or otherwise) to sound more 'dynamic' and generally big-up whatever job is being advertised, however exalted or humble.

    End of senior citizen's rant......

"Credible experience working within sports industry in a similar role" - How come this has suddenly become a required criteria? It wasn't deemed necessary when recruiting the CEO, even Fraye's "credible experience" could be questioned...

That's what they would like. What they get given the salary on offer and the working conditions are obviously poles apart. An ability to speak Flemish trumps all of the above.
