Anyway back to this £2.50 £3 lark
So here we are on a Saturday morning we have a few fans working the other side of London and looks like we will be working all day can't make the game then at 12.30 /1pm the boss turns round you can make a move if you like.
Some that's handy should be able to make the game rush half way round London for the club to tell you because you didn't know you were coming you got to pay extra. Like f€ck .
Bit like when your single drink in the same pub all year come new years eve they want to charge me a tenner to get in up your b#llocks.0 -
I couldnt find a link anywhere to the Bury match. Can these be purchased online?0

On the buy tickets page at the top there should be a 3 tabs
(Home Matches 2016/2017) (Away Matches 2016/2017) (Season Tickets)
if you click on the Away Matches tab it goes to the Bury game.

I've figured out the problem. I was trying to book on my mobile phone. When the phone is in portrait position it doesn't give the opportunity to select the away tab, I tipped it sideways so it was landscape and I was able to access the tab. The booking website is terrible. Thanks all.6

I called Bury FC this morning ... all their away tickets have been sent to CAFC, but they might open a part of another stand to accommodate away fans if there is the demand .. so there might not be tickets available at Bury on the day, dependant on returns
Incidentally, £2.50 surcharge for CAFC fans, Bury charge £1 for phoned in ticket orders that are sent out by post0 -
Interestingly, Walsall are selling online direct to away fans for their match with AFC Wimbledon, although not for their following home game against Yeovil (our match is not yet on sale).Lincsaddick said:I called Bury FC this morning ... all their away tickets have been sent to CAFC, but they might open a part of another stand to accommodate away fans if there is the demand .. so there might not be tickets available at Bury on the day, dependant on returns

Apparently Bury can accommodate 2000 away supporters. Would be surprised if we sold out, even it is the first game of the season.0

We just need a little bit of momentum on the sales and we could get a decent turn out with people deciding right up to the morning of the match to make their way up there. Some communication re how many sold so far might help start the ball rolling.redsek said:Apparently Bury can accommodate 2000 away supporters. Take 1200 off that figure.redsek said:Apparently Bury can accommodate 2000 away supporters. Would be surprised if we sold out, even it is the first game of the season.

I think anything in four figures would be a good turnout, personally. We took 1,637 to Birmingham for the first game back in the Championship after winning promotion in 2012. That's a much easier trip for most people and we'd been promoted, not relegated.letthegoodtimesroll said:

I thought everyone not renewing their S/T's were doing the aways instead ?
Surely we'll take 5,000 minimum ?4 -
I suspect that if it looked like we were going to take at least 800 for this match then that would encourage a lot more to go as well. My guess is it's either going to be around the 600 mark or if we get some momentum in sales around 1,200. Communication from the club is key.ElfsborgAddick said:

I think we will have quite a good number up there. 800+.
5 of us going who never normally cross the Watford Gap.

KM could do it in the meantime. She's good at getting a message acrossCovered End said:

I guess the £3 charge will remain though, as this is something many teams do for on the day tickets0
-
The club are removing the £2.50 administration fee for matchday tickets bought in person at the club’s ticket office at The Valley.
Driving online ticket purchasing is an important part of the club’s development. However, after conversation and consultation including last week’s Fans’ Forum, on fan emails and fan communication with our ticket office, the feedback was that there are still a lot of fans who traditionally purchase in-person who don’t have the facilities and/or knowledge to purchase online.
With this in mind, we are removing the administration charge for in-person purchases at The Valley as of July 26th. As initially planned we will also install a computer at The Valley’s reception where our ticketing office staff can show those who need support, how to register and purchase online. This will be ready before the start of the season.
Meanwhile, two hours before kick-off on a matchday, prices will still increase by £3 for adults, over 65s and U21s.

I'm genuinely pleased for you Seth. Mind you it looks like the charge stays for phone orders, but then I think there always were.0
-
The decision is the right one because it wouldn't be possible to print off away tickets at home, even if you had the facilities, so a trip to the Valley would have to happen to pay face value in those circumstances.Covered End said:I'm genuinely pleased for you Seth. So someone spoke up at the fans forum?
Chairs were flying everywhere0 -
I doubt if this is really about the feedback from the Fans Forum, given that was a week ago. My guess is that they have had a load of rows with people going down to buy tickets for the friendlies, or just possibly that trading standards have had a word. But more likely the former.Dave2l said:So someone spoke up at the fans forum?
