I feel like Slade gets off very easily (giggle) in all of this. No, the squad is not good enough but he has by no means picked his strongest team. He's left Holmes and Harriott on the bench, and has Crofts and Foley sitting in front of a five man defense. And despite that, Crofts gives it away attempting to pass forward and we concede. From the sounds of things, we don't have any plan when going forward. Even if we were able to use the natural width of the wingbacks, who would they be crossing to?

I had the complaints with Slade that we lacked ideas in possession and pattern of play in the Austrian friendlies. It does not sound like we've improved in that department at all.
