Is this confirmed by anyone reliable or is it like a 'Neymar seen at Manchester airport' type rumour you get on deadline day.

Alex Neil on the verge at Norwich too, would take him all day long.

They're 6th in the table! I know football managers don't get long these days but if teams start sacking managers who are in the play off positions then that's ridiculous.

Looks too much like James Cordon for my liking. Sorry I'm a petty little man I know.

Hated him when manager at MK. One of them where you might like him when he's one of yours.

Can be confirmed as him if he was wearing a shell suit.

Can't be convinced by Alex Neil.
Sets his team up 4 5 1 with one striker for home matches.
Norwich appear to have lost the ability to defend.
His selections are a bit odd at times.
I would not be surprised if Mick Mc Carthy replaced him if results don't improve.

I would think with his Ipswich connections he would be a rank outsider.

I would not mind him in SE7 so he could put squirrel face right on a few things.

I was until I read your previous 'funny', then I had another chuck!

  • Huge credit to Martin Allen who is sitting next to Curbs

Just been discussing the sacking of Slade on Football on 5 and Allen has said that he really feels for us fans, that Curbs managed to turn matters around and saved us from extinction now its all going to waste.

The talking point was even he said he didnt know a Manager who'd want to take charge of Charlton in our situation

I don't have any kind of comprehensive knowledge of Robinson's teams and preferences, nor his Achilles heel in terms of being a manager.
However I have always thought MKD played some very pleasing football under him.
I don't know what kind of person he is but I suspect he isn't on the soft and sweet side of Russel Slade.
I also want us to win all the time and get us promoted.
However if Robinson is appointed he takes the job with his eyes wide open, not easy to suggest he needs settling in time, or to be cut some slack, and if he does not deliver, then IMHO he will have to put up with criticism without asking us to be patient.
At least he knows how to get players playing in an empty stadium with no atmosphere.

Martin Allen on Channel 5 tonight "I feel for the Charlton fans, what is the owner doing there? What manager in their right mind would want to go there"?

Mad dog knows that there are loads of out of work managers who will take Duchatelet's shilling. Trouble is he only wants to pay about £50 grand, so Meire will be scraping the barrel. If we get Adkins, I will be amazed!

I will tell you all now Karl Robinson bought a house on the site I work on and he was one of my customers! He would regularly invite me in for breakfast and we would discuss the relegation dogfight we were both in at the time! Genuinely really really nice guy and has a lovely family! Just very honest and confident in his own abilities which I think comes off the wrong way sometimes!

Reads like he hasn't sat down for talks yet , which of course knowing KM is a stumbling block!

Hope the gaff was not too expensive as he'll struggle making the mortgage repayments on our wages.

Where is the site, if you don't mind me asking?

And was it usually a fry up or a continental?

Interesting from Robinson. Only last May Leeds were interested in Robinson being their new manager, but after talks with them he turned down Championship football to stay with relegated MK Dons.

Did he want job security and thought Leeds were a bad option?

He won't get Job Security here with the owner here. I could understand a 56 year old joining us a last job payday/payoff, but not a 36 year old that could be in the game for the next 20 years. Don't commit career suicide.

A development called Oakgrove which is about a 5 minute drive from the centre of Milton Keynes.

It was usually a bacon sandwich and a cup of coffee mate.

All jokes aside, he is a really nice fella! I was certainly one of those who didn't take to him much before but meeting him certainly changed my opinion.

I actually think he was mistreated at Dons he was never given a huge squad to work with and worked wonders to get them promoted! I would quite like him at Charlton as he thrives within a club that has a good academy!

The bottom line is however, I don't want anyone at the club who could be remotely successful unless this regime packs up and leaves!

Is it professional suicide though ? He dies well and he's a hero. He fails miserably and the club is a basket case where Alex Ferguson couldn't make it work.
