Lots of bitter ex-employees interviewed. That Ben Hamer must be particularly bitter at having to wear a Premier League winners medal.14
-
Confirms everything that was suspected about the way in which the club was/is being run.
Those that think the appointment of Karl Robinson is a step forward need to have a serious rethink. It is clear that no manager can succeed under Duchatelet.8 -
I haven't listened to the programmes yet, but that email to Powell read like one of Ackworths. I just can't get over the fact that someone with the supposed business acumen of Duchatelet allows cockroaches of the likes of Mowgli and Meire so much influence at the club.5

It's an extraordinarily good piece of journalism from what I've heard so far.
Surely the CEO must now resign. Her position is untenable.
The big questions now have got to be 'to what extent have things changed at The Valley, and if they have changed, to what extent, if any, will the fans be able to forgive what's gone on in the past?'26 -
She should have resigned ages ago, she's way past untenable, no way will she leave all the time Roly is calling the shots, same for Driesen.jdmotion said:It's an extraordinarily good piece of journalism from what I've heard so far.

Will never happen. She's been clinging on for years and will continue to do so. Roly wont sack her either.jdmotion said:It's an extraordinarily good piece of journalism from what I've heard so far.

Is that Producer Ben from the Guardian football weekly doing the intros? Sounds a lot like him0

Brilliant and insightful stuff. We really are run by fukwits!1

She is now simply putting herself before the club, which is wrong. If your reading this Daisy, which no doubt you, or one of your minions are, just remember this famous saying - No one person is bigger than the club.

Surely this screws the FA's fit and proper test?!4

Not really. The FA would fail any fit and proper test themselves! They don't care as long as money continues to roll in.Sheepie1985 said:Surely this screws the FA's fit and proper test?!

Listened to both on the way in this morning, really well put together and told.
Made me feel a mixture of sad/angry... I do truthfully believe they have learnt something of a lesson from it and are better now (and are still god-awful, don't get me wrong) but that first year is completely unforgivable.0 -
Can't believe (well actually I can) people on the Charlton Facebook page think all this is fake. Really hope the journo's run with this. So so depressing but well done to all who put this together.2
-
All of it ? As in Hamer, Pritchard, Pitor and Powell are being impersonated ?ChiAddick said:Can't believe (well actually I can) people on the Charlton Facebook page think all this is fake. Really hope the journo's run with this. So so depressing but well done to all who put this together.
I actually think releasing the emails might have been a mistake, it's easy to say "the emails are just fakes" and undermine the whole thing - just listening to the interviews is enough to confirm how insane the whole set up is.1 -
They think an interview with the actual person speaking is "fake"?ChiAddick said:Can't believe (well actually I can) people on the Charlton Facebook page think all this is fake. Really hope the journo's run with this. So so depressing but well done to all who put this together.
if the emails were fake then Jimmy would be sued in seconds but how can the interviews be fake?
You can choose to not believe what they are saying or even ignore it as unimportant but they are interviews.15 -
They're legit.RodneyCharltonTrotta said:If these are a hoax it would very much undermine our protests and we would lose a lot of goodwill.
If they are legit, which would not be surprising, then I cannot understand how anyone can still defend this outfit of raving lunatics.2 -
I don't ever want to see or hear this nonsense that Duchatelet is an intelligent bloke because of Melexis. That regurgitated email from Driesen to Powell alone is enough. How has Duchatelet been sucked in by him and Meire? The bloke is clueless.7
-
Yeah all this written and spoken evidence is all well and good but, you know, just 'get behind the team' yeah?41

I think its more that here we have irrefutable evidence and they just don't want to believe it. Head in the sand ostriche style.Henry Irving said:

The interview from Polish Pete made me feel really sorry for him. Great stuff so far!15
-
That's what baffles me. Fans who simply will not believe what's in front of their eyes (irrefutable evidence, half empty stadiums, League One football, eight managers, the list goes on....)ChiAddick said:

It's as if they are quite content with the club and it's fans being abused, just as long as they get to watch their football on a Saturday.

Very very good podcasts. Well done to all involved in getting all those on tape with their views/opinions. Looking forward to the next 2 in 2017. In the meantime, this needs to go out to all the media outlets.3

And yet there will still be 'fans' willing to give these jokers another chance...2

There are none so blind as those that will not see...1 -
Just finished the second part.
Confirms a hell of a lot of stuff, but still shocking in it's impact. A must listen for football fans everywhere, as well as Charlton fans.
If the regime apologisers say it is 'fake' then it is because the reality is so shaming.
I have just sat through an hour of frankly too much fucking reality listening to that.
Isn't there a recording of Katrien saying how managers are never dictated to, and her adding how appalling that would be?
I remember hearing or reading that.
Either she was ignorant of everything happening.
Or she is a barefaced, compulsive, serial, shameless liar of the first order.24 -
