On a slightly unrelated note, I read an old blog the other day that suggested that Miere was introduced to people at the training ground as 'sporting director' when she first arrived.
Can atsnyone back this up? That's pretty shocking if true.

Yes. This is what Chris Powell said she was called at the time. She had no public title until the summer when they started calling her chief executive.

Thanks both. Seems I missed it at the time. Wow. Just wow. What incredible stupidity.
Exactly. The management culture at Charlton is to ignore anything like this, pretend it hasn't happened, etc. Our CEO's position became untenable by normal standards way over a year ago, but she just continues to shut her eyes, put her fingers in her ears and pretend it's not happening whilst her customers disappear in their thousands.
The evidence that Jimmy has provided is Charlton's equivalent of the Volkswagen emissions scandal a couple of years ago - their CEO, Martin Winterkorn, resigned after saying"I personally am deeply sorry that we have broken the trust of our customers and the public." That is how a normal business responds when it turns out that they've been deceiving their customers.
Katrien's response will be to sit and smirk awkwardly in the Director's box that she illegitimately occupies.
I take a bit of comfort in the fact that karma will get Roland soon cos he's old so will hopefully have snuffed it sooner rather than later but, driesen isn't even old, he's a huge problem.

Not really Driesen like Meire and the rest of them will all go when Roland goes

This is correct - neither of them have even a prayer of keeping their jobs once Roland sells up. And that's why the protest target (in my mind) has always been RD, rather than Katrien.
In my opinion this could be the first of a series of "knockout blows" for the current regime.
The club will have to make a statement about this.. thing is they are in a impossible position to do so as they do not have a leg to stand on.
Disagree.
They'll ignore it and wait for it to go away. They're so unbelievably brazen.
That is the current and optimum crisis management strategy for any organisation not absolutely bound by public scrutiny. If they respond they know they just lay themselves open. Though RD is such a maverick he might just do something...............who knows?
I can't believe this, but I've actually managed to get some live footage from the crisis meeting at the Valley following the release of episodes 1 & 2 of Getting to know the Network.
It's a bit grainy, but if you watch carefully you can see the exact moment Tom Rubashow realises he's signed up to a lost cause, gets up and leaves the room.
In fairness i had no idea about how big the mess the Spivs had got us into. I was expecting it to have a more negative slant on the Network but it's just a clear presentation of the facts. Which are more than damning enough.
At times in episode 2 it's whatever the equivalent of looking through your fingers at the TV is on podcasts. Car Crash stuff.
Not able to hear the episodes first hand but read the posts to this point so far.
My comment is that @T's first sentence regarding " the big mess the Spivs had got us into" must be the point at which Sue P & co were blindfolded, brainwashed & tickled without let up for 24 hours solid so that NOTHING further could enter their tiny brains.....

I'd imagine they'll ignore it and hope it goes away.Evidence as damning as this will be omnipresent from the board room to the boot-room. There will be no escaping it.

Crikey.
Would the training ground be the place to send them?!
I want him to be aware of what he is getting into and how he (like the rest of us) has been lied to.

of course if Belgium radio get hold of it then maybe we can look forward to a late night statement from our commander in chief.

Interviews?..............Huh?

Looking forward to the reaction from non-Charlton people to it.
