Ceballos and Vetokele not being recalled and KR wants 4/5 signings.2 -
That bit at the end, "and be the one that gets the stick!". He can't spell 'sack'.Scoham said:https://www.londonnewsonline.co.uk/14346/charlton-boss-milton-keynes-duo-raised-transfer-fees/
KR on Reeves and Carruthers.5 -
Not sure if this was picked up yesterday, apologies if I'm repeating old news.

The midfielder we are due to sign today is currently at a higher tier club (championship I expect) by the sounds of things....which would obviously rule out Reeves and Carruthers who MK sound to be asking big bucks for. From what KR has told Cawley it sounds like today's signing was reluctant to drop down to league one at first but is now ready to sign for us (maybe KR convinced him, maybe he had no better offers....who knows).1

He's rebuilding a squad due to a change in style of football (for the better after watching Slade's team) but he's working for RD.
He could need this window and the summer to build the squad he needs but if we don't get promoted he'll be lucky to keep his job.0 -
In other words he is only capable of setting his teams out in one way and if he doesn't get all the players he needs to play the only way he knows then we and he are in trouble.Scoham said:

Not Reeves or Carrathers then if his interview is to be believed.Clem_Snide said:Not sure if this was picked up yesterday, apologies if I'm repeating old news.

In Roland's world. If we were a well run club we'd have a style of play and if the manager moves on replace him with another with a similar style.DRAddick said:

Good thinking, and would probably have had offers from other clubs in League One such as going back to Swindon?Chris_from_Sidcup said:Maybe it's Thompson from Norwich?

Prepare to be underwhelmed, I can't even remember the guys name but it's loan and he had been at Rotherham on loan.0

Well it is Cawley.ForeverAddickted said:There is no clause preventing the Charlton boss from poaching players from his old club.
Taken from the Cawley article... Would bloody hope not, MK Dons sacked him so what right have they got to tell him he cant sign their players, its not like we signed Robinson when he was still their boss!!0 -
Forster-Caskey or Adeyemi?Redvaliant said:Prepare to be underwhelmed, I can't even remember the guys name but it's loan and he had been at Rotherham on loan.

Lookman done 2.5 rising to 7, bit more than when I was first told

Forster caskey be a good signing1
-
rising to 7.... sorry to sound pedantic Rh.....but what does that mean exactly?
I doubt we'll ever know.0 -
We were after Adeyemi in the summer0
-
2.5 up front is peanuts isn't it?

Caskey was with KR at MK last season

2.5 up front is ok but not exactly stellar. Promotion is worth wel more than that.0

I'd be quite pleased with Adeyemi. Decent player who hasn't really found a permanent home - will fit in perfectly!sam3110 said:

Depends on what the staggered payments are for. Everton staying up would make it worthwhile. £1M per 5 squad appearances reasonable. Anything else is less so. Basically £3.5M add ons would mean 17 odd appearances for £7M which would be about normal for the ridiculously inflated PL market for English players.0
