Would you call back Tony Watt?

I think he had trouble with quite a few at Sparrows Lane.Starinnaddick said:He'll get a big welcome back from me after the dross which has been on show.
maybe his problem was with JBG who has since departed .0 -
Maybe, when asked directly at the POTY awards last season whether the players had any issues with Watt, one of the senior players said:
'No, Tony is Tony, there are bust ups but the next day it's all forgotten. There is no grudges there.'
Went on to say he was a good bloke.
(Note this was a while ago and I may have had a couple of drinks so the quote may not be word for word)
That's not to say he hasn't had worse issues elsewhere in the club. If sparrows lane is a real reference maybe he has annoyed Euall, whoch would need an apology.
Suck it up Tony, treat this as your last chance saloon, which it probably is.1 -
Didn't prove anything to Liege fans, Charlton fans, Cardiff fans, Blackburn fans, Hearts fans.SoundAsa£ said:Welcome back Tony.......the balls in your court now to prove wrong the many Charlton fans who, sorry to say, think you were a bit of a tosser last time round.
I say again.....prove us wrong!
Needs a complete life rethink. Without that all he is going to prove is that the fans were right thinking him a tosser. Has the ability but doubt he has the heart to do it.
Really hope he proves me wrong.

Yep that's broadly what he said.Alwaysneil said:Maybe, when asked directly at the POTY awards last season whether the players had any issues with Watt, one of the senior players said:

Wtf is Mandy Chance Saloon though? Not sure I like the sound of that....0 -
He's a poor mans Balotelli, get him firing and we have a top championship player no doubt about it!0

Twitter rumours that Wolves are interested0

KR's comments on TW's return to SL are just bizarre. I can think of no good reason why KR has spouted all that guff. The only consequence can be a reduced fee/more complicated, convoluted disposal. If TW had any remaining interest or curiosity in playing for Charlton, KR will have just shot it down by soundig off like that and making a dick of himself. The only likely outcome is that Roly will have to pay up TW's remaining contract, effectively rewarding TW for being a massive dick ever since his initial honeymoon period faded away. Neither Roly nor Tony deserve any better, we charlton fans just get another shovel full of shit dumped on us while we sit waiting in the dark to find out just how rotten is the corpse of the thing we fondly remember as CAFC.3

Seen a few things on Twitter saying Watt was singing "we want Roland out" during training last season hence a reason for him being 'distructive'8

What's the difference between this Watt thread and the other Watt thread?
Watt thread on Watt is the one Watt needs to be kept?0 -

What KR said is pretty much what any decent manager would want from a player, even if they wouldn't say it publicly. KR has laid it on the line for Watt and if he fails to take up that challenge here, why would any other manager take a gamble on him given his history? KR has been quite shrewd I think, he wants to hold on to a committed Watt and at the same time has put off other managers, effectively telling Watt, "it's here, or nowhere".StigThundercock said:KR's comments on TW's return to SL are just bizarre. I wonder if we can get the whole squad together at the POTY night to break into "Just sell the club".Amos on the wing said:

Josh Magennis and Tony Watt could be the ideal striking partnership. Josh would benefit from having somebody to knock the ball down to who knows how to control it and hold onto it and they'd both benefit from the extra space that would be created when the other one has the ball and the defenders rush to crowd them out. All you'd then need would be for Tony to pass the ball occasionally, not that I'm a believer in any striker worth the name tag passing the ball if they can see any part of the goal themselves.0
-
Trouble is, same with Lookman, that Watt was picking the ball up on the halfway line so had 50 yards plus 8 defenders to take on, only to lose it by the 3rd tackle.
With the new found pace, athleticism and drive of our midfield, hopefully he can receive the ball 20 yards out, take on 2, and get a shot away / pass to Josh / win a penalty.

Watt playing off Magennis would strike fear into this poor league.2

It will probably be touch and go as to which of them will be the fitter.Horsfield9 said:I wonder which day KR is going to run him through his paces then ?

We do miss all his goals. Hearts will want to keep him as he has been on fire since joining.1
