I'll never forget Stan Boardman coming on at half time at the Valley and getting slaughtered and booed off by the crowd, can't remember how long ago or who it was against though.............Anyone?

IIRC, it was at Anfield at half time during one of the cup ties we had there in the 90s. Can't remember if it was the one where Kim Grant scored that chip, or Newts scored with a volley from Ricky Otto's cross.

Didn't Boardman say that someone had broken into our trophy cabinet and had stolen the cobwebs? I remember that we slaughtered him when he tried to tell some more 'jokes' to the Anfield crowd, and he had to give up. Class one pratt.

He doesn't see the point in meeting protesting fans because protesting fans have, so far not caused him and Charlton any problems orator interruptions since he's been manager.

He probably thinks it's stopped and behind us.

Soon as the 3rd part of GKN is released in the 31st and protests occur again.

He will give it the biggun.

I fear his true colours will emerge at that point.

    Hope I'm wrong.

    I could be wrong.

    He's on until 10pm...

He just joked he's been at Charlton 2 months and has 2 months left.

After introducing him they've moved on to referees and the Prem so he is presumably presenting, with the odd Charlton bit thrown in.

I put him in the Phil Brown league of self publicity and perma-tans! He should have too much to be getting on with than to find time to do this sort of stuff!!

    Great comparison.

    Just do your job Karl.

Is he taking calls or are we banned again for their meaningless PR stunt?

Gee. So boring. After 20 minutes of drivel, I turned it off.

He realises that he has no hope of achieving anything at Charlton and will almost certainly be sacked by the end of the season if not before.

So he is simply trying to line up other options.

Either that or he is an egotistical tosser.

He's a bit try hard, but he's probably OK.

This show is dreadful though, not sure I could listen to it if there wasn't a Charlton connection.

I don't get why people are so against Karl, he has come in shown a real passion for the job and the club.

Because it's not about how passionate he is.

    True.
We all loved Powell's passion though.

Yes, yes....record points and all that, but that was his team, his players (eventually- he didn't set the world on fire in his first part season).

I like what KR has to say, I like the clear enthusiasm (even without the 'benefit' of playing X hundred games for us during our prem years). IF he gets long enough - and fans getting on his back already isn't going to help - we should rate him next season with his players, a full preseason etc.
