Accents you like and dislike

Can't stand the bloke's accent who does the Big Brother commentary, although Geordie doesn't usually irritate me at all, I guess his must be more exaggerated.

The scouse accent sounds like loads of radio interference.

Foreign accent wise, I live a Sicilian and Neapolitan accent up hate Northern Italian, and love Southern Spanish but hate Madrileno. Canarian Spanish is just fucking weird.

A few years ago the firm I was working for brought over some young ladies from the Dublin office on secondment for a few months.

A couple of them were from Cork but if you asked them where they came from their accent made it sound like they were from "Cock"!

Any accent with a lilting or musical quality is always pleasing.
Years ago I gave away several hours of detailed specialist VAT advice and my own time just because the soft Bristol burr of the voice on the other end of the phone enchanted me so. There wasn't even a remote possibility of meeting the person, the attraction remained strictly aural. I probably kidded myself she was equally charmed by my winning combination of bluff sarf-east london directness and erudite humour. The truth is she gleefully took what she needed while it was all fresh, exciting and new but the calls dried up soon enough. She only wanted me for my mind.

They have a bit of a country accent down here (those that are born and bred down here), I'm always accused of being a DFL (down from London, even though I'm from NW Kent).....back to the OP....Scouse apart from that don't really mind any other regional accents.

Chinese accent worries me.

Even during a cordial conversation they sound like they're about to knock seven bells out of each other.

My daughters Kent accent is gradually transitioning into a Lancashire one. One of the side effects of moving up north. By the time she is a teenager I won't be able to understand a word she says.
