Have read this set of posts with great interest and appreciate all the views expressed. If I had the power to bring back one player from his prime and put him in the modern game it would be Graeme Souness and then wait for the tweets from Barton after the first 50;50 challenge!0

At the start of this thread I condemned Barton and I stand by that. But I do like "hard men" (oh er missus) - used to love it when Curbs would bring on Svensson to mix things up a bit. However there is a difference between people like good old Matt and a thug like Barton.0
