It looks like Nicky Ajose's agent has been busy. Fair play to him - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4635368/Manchester-United-graduate-Nicky-Ajose-set-Cyprus.html
"His eye for goal and previous prolific record have prompted enquiries from Blackburn Rovers and, another of his former clubs, Bury already this summer but news of his potential call-up has also alerted Cypriot sides AEK Larnaca and Apoel Nicosia.
Both clubs are keen to take a potential national team player for their domestic and European campaigns."0 -
An unexpected callup. If he stays then potentially that's another player missing for international breaks or causing a postponementBlucher said:It looks like Nicky Ajose's agent has been busy. Indeed - that would make a third call-up (with Magennis and Konsa), giving us an option to postpone matches. I think that someone on here and/or Doctor Kish helpfully posted the games potentially affected. I think there were three or four in all.killerandflash said:

We paid top dollar for him only a year ago (£650k ?) so anything less than £500k would be madness.
But then again, you know this regime.0 -

Quite like the sound of that article. Gunna be a squad of MK and Bradford at this point though
not that I'm complaining 0 -
Reeves' contract does not end for another 6 days. So that may be one reason nothing appears to be happening.0
-
No, that won't be the reason.NapaAddick said:Reeves' contract does not end for another 6 days. So that may be one reason nothing appears to be happening.

Sorry if this was already mentioned...
Apparently Jordan Turnbull had a relegation clause for Coventry and is now a free agent. Apparently we are looking at him. Would he be a good defensive addition?

Don't see us buying a centre back or striker until / unless players in the same positions leave first I.e. Tex,Sarr and/or Ajose,Vetokele,Novak (or possibly Watt if he doesn't prove his fitness).0
-
Even if Tex leaves we will still have four good centre backs, so unless one of them is off we don't need another and was not one of the positions Robbo mentioned.
Sounds to me like an agent trying to bump up the deal.0 -
Possibly after all Coventry had a good season and didn't let in many goals.NapaAddick said:Sorry if this was already mentioned...

Not much substance is that story.Horsfield9 said:
It would hardly be a surprise if a player in an England world cup winning squad playing in league one was on the radar of richer clubs.
Reads life a space filler to me.3 -
I can't see Konsa commanding the same sort of fee that Gomes and Lookman did by any stretch but all the time Duchatelet picks up a sizeable fee each season he might feel that his plans are taking shape. I doubt he ever thought it would all come together in less than five years.
This to me is more of a concern than Ezri actually leaving.2 -
If we get 8 mill for Konsa and sign all the players we need for promotion, I would be happy.12

We won't get £8m for Konza seeing as we got less than that upfront for Lookman, a striker.Redhenry said:If we get 8 mill for Konsa and sign all the players we need for promotion, I would be happy.
And Robinson was given just 400k of that to spend despite promotion still being a possibility in January (as Millwall who were within one point of us at the time proved).

I think Konsa is a good young player.
But at this stage I'm not even sure if he's ready to play for a top half championship side , let alone a EPL side.9 -
If they buy him it'll be for the long term. They'll have him out on loan for a season or two to see how he progresses maybe?Laddick01 said:I think Konsa is a good young player.

Why not 8 mill? Not a lot for some prem clubs. I didn't say we would get 8 mill to spend, just enough to get us promoted. The rest will go towards paying for the regimes past errors. Lots of those to be paid for btw.Henry Irving said:

Totally agree RH but any fee we get wont add to the budget that Robinson already has to work with. Most clubs with reasonable ambitions of a promotion, I'm sure would see a sale as a windfall and allocate at least part of any fee to strengthen and enhance those ambitions. I don't see KR looking at Ezri going as a chance to strengthen.Redhenry said:If we get 8 mill for Konsa and sign all the players we need for promotion, I would be happy.
That's just my opinion of course

No way in the world would we get 8M for Konsa. More like between 2 to 3 M.8

I was just making an amusing remark really. There are many decent players that are unfortunate to be in a unbalanced or lacking side that get miss judged to be bad players.Shrew said:

Is Konsa really that good though? I hold Poyet in his time here higher to be honest.0
