Sounds like he's broken already. Should fit in well here then...luke1 said:2 -
would be fairly happy with this.luke1 said:1 -
makes you wonder what's happen to David Martin. Went away with the squad to Ireland (1st trip) but didn't go back for the friendlies. Can't see he'll get much better paid than KM's usual 5 yr / £10k pw deals so is it US that don't want HIM.luke1 said:3 -
Another product of the Norwich academy. 38 games for Huddersfield in 2015/16 so has experience at a decent level (presumably signed by Powell)luke1 said:1 -
Should help drive the club forward.luke1 said:4 -
Seems like a logical move. Our physios have an outstanding track record in rehabilitating players with Achilles problems.3

Surely a load of bull.luke1 said:2 -
I take it we've managed to screw up the Martin deal?1

Perhaps. Or perhaps he wanted too much in wages or too long of a contract. It's rare with this SMT that our problem has been saying "no" to player, quite the opposite. The Red Robin said:I take it we've managed to screw up the Martin deal?

Perhaps Martin was only ever plan B and Steer is plan A?3

It's Kent Live but has the quotes from KR about the positions needed. As well as the four he's said we may need cover for Kashi.1 -
What a shithouse website. Couldn't even be bothered to get even close to spelling Teixeira correctlyScoham said:http://m.kentlive.news/charlton-athletic-s-karl-robinson-on-player-transfers-there-s-a-lot-of-work-still-to-be-done/story-30443758-detail/story.html

Surely we have Crofts as cover for Kashi, and then Dijksteel2
-
I guess KR doesn't see it that way. Maybe a good thing, could be hoping to move Crofts on, or have him as a 5th choice CM.
As for Dijksteel if he's as good as we hope he'll break through. He shouldn't be 3rd or 4th choice just because RD and KM want young players to get a chance. Being thrown in too early didn't do KAG much good, doubt it helped Kennedy either.3 -

Ah yes - how could I forget the new medical team. The ones that Kashi trusted enough to seek his own Achilles rehabilitation in the Middle East rather than with the club.Crusty54 said:

Tbh I'd be mightily surprised if a third division medical team featured the best Achilles tendon specialist in the world, but seeing as it doesn't, perhaps it's best he seeked rehabilitation elsewhere?SurvivaloftheFittest said:

KR says ""Look, we need another right-back in to cover Sollsy, we need a left-back in, we need a winger and we need a goalscorer"
We've needed that since the end of last season so what's been going on for the past 2.5 months? Now we're less than 3 weeks away from the first league game.12 -
We're nearly as badly run as that Chelsea lot who still haven't signed their targets either!Chris_from_Sidcup said:KR says ""Look, we need another right-back in to cover Sollsy, we need a left-back in, we need a winger and we need a goalscorer"

At their level they probably have a lot less players to choose from...sam3110 said:

not asking for him to be 3rd/4th, I would say he's currently around 6th.Scoham said:I guess KR doesn't see it that way. Maybe a good thing, could be hoping to move Crofts on, or have him as a 5th choice CM.

We currently have Kashi, Aribo, JFC, Crofts and Jacko, do we really need another one over a GK, LB, RB, No 10 or STR?2 -
I thought the medical team changed in the last 6 months ?SurvivaloftheFittest said:

JDS is 19 years of age, so long as he has done the correct recovery activities after each match and with U19's there'll be lots of that, he'll not need much resting. He only played a few games at the end of Charlton's 16/17 season, light training and a couple of 60 minute appearances in the home friendlies and he'll be good to go. It's far more likely km/rd/tk will balls up the deal with Chelsea and leave the fat scouse gobshite shorthanded at 5 to the window closing, if I were Chelsea and seeing the level JDS has already attained I'd be keen to get him playing higher up than 3rd division and certainly in an environment less catastrophic than Charlton'sScoham said:
My only problem with Da silva is that he has only just finished the U19 tournament & hasn't had a rest all summer. Think either him or Chelski may insist he doesn't play until September, meaning we play 4 or 5 games without a recognised LB (Jacko too old & Barnes too young IMO)0 -
That is the point I made.Covered End said:

Kashi's injury predates the current set up.
