Told Ben Reeves will not be signing for #cafc today. Talks about a Valley move set to continue tomorrow. More on @NewsShopperSprt soon.0 -

Wonder if the unnamed Spanish side were Alcorcon?Bubble said:2 -
isn't that enough? No, just think that a Champ Club will come in last minute. He's been mooted since January and we havn't got it over the line yet.Scoham said:

That's entirely possible. I think it's quite clear KR has wanted him since January. IMO, the hold-up has been Reeves assessing his options and I reckon we are in pole position now.LargeAddick said:

You can argue that we have been waiting until January to sign him and yet it's still not happened but you could also argue other teams have had a couple of months to do a deal. That seems unlikely so I think he will be a Charlton player by the end of the week.1 -
Wiki now says this:
Benjamin Neil Reeves is a Northern Ireland international association footballer who plays as a midfielder for Charlton Athletic FC maybe or maybe not waiting for him to finally decide greedy cnt.13 -

Maybe but I think we'll get him by offering a big contract and he'll be a guaranteed starter. Probably get a shorter contract and be a squad player at a Champ club.LargeAddick said:

That reads like a big ol' 'going going gooooooing gone' from his agent to other clubs.Bubble said:1 -
Did someone mention Scarfy, seems he has a few thousand new mates this year, is his place safe?0

I don't know why we don't just give him a deadline. Sign by Tuesday or the deals off the table.1

You have no idea what Reeves and his agent may be asking for. He may well want a huge signing on fee and unrealistic weekly wages. That's what negotiation is all about.
Believe you me, I really rate this guy and want to see him signed, but not if his demands are unrealistic!6 -

always get at least one of these drawn out transfer BS every year zzzzzzzz sign or feck off simple0

Looks a top player in that video posted further up. Will probably get kicked a bit but if Kashi can stay fit and body guard him it could be the final piece of the promotion jigsaw.3

When it comes to signings there are quite a lot of personal things to consider. I spoke to Billy Clarke in Limerick and he was still in the process of sorting a gaff, and he was mindful of when his family would be able to join him.
Is it realistic to think that a footballer can arrive and switch it all on in an instant? Some maybe can, but not all.3 -

I agree, and it's a lot easier with a signing like Marshall who was a local lad. But I also think Reeves has been exploring his options all summer with it having little to do with the above, and more to do with the best contract he can get.seth plum said:When it comes to signings there are quite a lot of personal things to consider. I don't blame him for that, we would all do the same and it's not like he's Zlatan or Neymar with hundreds of thousands each week on offer. It doesn't help though that we are 5 days away from our first game and he's going to be severely lacking in match fitness.2 -

Strange that Reeves seems to have swapped seats (I can't see KM etc in the photo), and that his agent(?) is now sitting next to David Martin0 -
If we sign Reeves will we get Mortimer as well?5

It's a game of two halves
