Apparently the Met has arrested 4 people so far...on suspicion of public order offences. I wonder what made them suspect that ?0

Were the cologne fans singing a Scottish song after half time?1

Throwing bottles and letting off flares & fighting amongst themselves in London.PragueAddick said:What exactly have the Cologne fans done wrong?
3,000 had tickets and it looks like far more than that have got in.
Fighting stewards.

I went to Koln last season. They sing You take the High Road before the game, with different lyrics obviously. It went on for about five minutes and the whole crowd joins in.Karim_myBagheri said:Were the cologne fans singing a Scottish song after half time?

Quality goal, he's too good for arsenal.1

Unbelievable goal from Sanchez, it looked impossible to score from there.0

According to a Twitter account with a limited command of the English language. Might be better to wait until the morning before rushing to judgement?Covered End said:

Someone I know was at the game and he enjoyed the German fans
A massive shambles though it reminds me of when Charlton played at Upton Park and there was chaos when away fans brought large followings down. Apart from the Leicester match, I remember our final match at UP when the West Stand was full of Newcastle fans!0 -
Read the thread. Read the BBC report (1st post), watch the videos, it's all there.PragueAddick said:

Just caught the highlights.
Bollox to the football and the 20,000 mullets in the library... if anyone here can post an image of Tony Woodcock in the crowd, you can have my luncheon vouchers!
I will never take the piss out of mullets again...oh feck i just have!0 -

Am I seriously to believe that around 17,000 Cologne fans without tickets got into the Emirates for free? and what happened to the 17,000 loyal Arsenal fans they have presumably displaced?
2 -
I doubt any home fans were without a seat as there were plenty of empty ones however that does not excuse the way the Germans behaved. Their allocation was 2,900 in a segregated section of the ground. If English fans did that abroad the press would be in meltdownPragueAddick said:

From your BBC report @Covered End
"They did throw bottles and let off flares, but there was no significant disorder, police were on scene and there have been no arrests."
You do realise that apart from the flares, the Sint-Truiden police would have made an identical comment when we - you and I - were there in March?2 -
Well lets see what the facts are, tomorrow.eaststandmike said:

Sleep well all, if you can, with all those terrifying Germans taking over London

Cologne leave an unpleasant taste in the mouth.

To me looking at some of the videos there was minimal agg for that many lads at an away ground and around town .
Yes there was agg but 20k of fans there's bound to be dicks amongst em but even when there was trouble to me it looked like a few were policing themselves to calm it down .
It didn't look like they were intent on trouble .
They managed to walk down the road without smacking car windows and mirrors off , which is a hard task to do if you're a divvy footy fan.
Where were the running clashes with police / rival fans and chairs being lobbed about that you usually se in town centres .
Contradiction time . Lobbing those barriers was dangerous and ridiculous but it looked from what I saw there was mainly good spirited Germans having a laugh .
Don't think any seasoned footy fan would have felt worried and I'm a proper wimp when it comes to aggro .

If that was an English club or English national side the press would be having a field day - would be the shame of the nation. Oh wait that happened in summer last year!0
-
Not defending them but arsenal were a bit foolish to give them 3000, as arsenal fans have blatantly sold there tickets. Although don't know how it works as arsenal is mainly cards that you buy your tickets on and go in with that.0

The fa gave Scotland 20,000 at Wembley to stop this happening.0
