Amos: 6.5 crucial save in the first half.
Dijkstreel: 7 - struggled in first half because of little protection from anyone in front. still he made some great tackles and seems to read the game very well. impressed.
Pearce: 8.5 - bossed it.
Bauer: 8 - controlled it
Page: 7.5 - great goal which I doubt for a full back he would ever be able to do again. he played well throughout.
Forster-Caskey: 8 - best game ive seen him play as far as I remember. made sure their midfield had no room and pushed forward. Bowyer must of had words and it shows that Jake can be good enough in that position.
Reeves: 6.5 - weakest player in the team as he gave the ball away a few times and wasn't sure of his position but overall he played well. helped push the team forward.
Aribo: 8 - he gave the ball away a few times but apart from that I thought he was great. right in the oppositions faces. moved the ball very well.
Fosu: 7 - played well. only real issue his his distribution. holds on to the ball too long.
Ajose: 7 - was a constant threat
Zyro: 7.5 - really impressed. can hold a ball up and flick it on. out muscled their centre backs on quite a few occasions.

Too pleased with the performance to not give scores...


Amos: - 6.5 Really hard to score, as he had little to do. Score looks low, but a save in the first half that was a) world class and b) was vital as the score was only 1-0 at the time.

Dijkstreel: - 7.5 Playing out of position. Positionally suspect, but so much pace and power to cover those deficiencies. In the 2nd half, attacked the ball, and missed it. The winger got the ball, and had 15 yards head start on Anfernee. I then watched him make up the 15 yards, win the ball with a clean tackle, get up, and play the ball out from defence. Unreal. And it's not even his best position imo...

Pearce: - 8 Awesome, thunderous, rousing. Proper physical battle which he didn't take a single backward step from. Came out of the tunnel at half time, and before kick off was like a whirling dervish to gee his teammates up. Proper captain's performance, followed by a proper captain's tunnel jump...

Bauer: - 8 Not as gung-ho as Pearce, but an enormously solid performance. His thunderous cross field header in the first half nearly led to Ajose's shoe in for goal of the season.

Page: - 8 A special mention for Lewis. It was hard to remember, on that performance, how long he has been out. Playing on memory after about 55 minutes, but never shirked getting up and down his wing. Those criticising his crossing should try to remember how tired he must have been in the second half. And what a way to announce your return to The Valley...

Forster-Caskey: - 9 MoTM This was a very special performance. Just think about it. Asked to do what was the job of 2 men in KR's preferred formation. And to take all the corners. I imagine the computer that tracks the distance covered by all the players had a nervous breakdown over Jake's stats. Still found time to tackle, have some shots, and a few raking 50 yard passes. Awesome. The kind of performance that has pundits purring if it was Pirlo...

Reeves: - 7 I don't really understand some of the criticism that Ben has taken from this game. Got forward well, tried a few speculative shots. (Nothing wrong with that, in my view!) He's not the fastest player in the team, nor the best tackler, but he got back for his defensive duties. Maybe not the flashy, languid ball control of Aribo, but for every Mark Kinsella, you need a Keith Jones. I think helped by given a little more freedom by the formation, and the work of JFC.

Aribo: - 8 Just that little bit more easy on the eye than Reeves. Has a lazy looking but languid style on the ball. Great control on tight areas. We need to think how well Joe and Ben compliment each other. Joe is far better at running at his opponents, with ball at feet. Tenacious in the tackle. Ben is more likely to hit the 40 yard telling pass, or the 25 yard free kick. A place for both in the team make up.

Fosu: - 8 Sure, not everything goes right for Terrique, but has that little bit of flair that is so hard to defend against. Fantastic work rate. Always caused problems. A shot in the second half, (I was right behind it) that deserved a goal. And, when Bowyer changed formation to 4-5-1 to protect a tiring Page, dropped seamlessly back in the wide left position.

Ajose:  - 8 Excellent performance, that deserved a goal. His and Fosu's pace caused problems for Plymouth the whole. Two cracking shots, both of which worked the keeper.

Zyro: - 8.5 Now, there us no such thing as a perfect performance, but this was a good effort. Strong and willing, and played with some smarts. A case in point: Plymouth got a corner, and the ball was cleared. It arrived at Zyro. He didn't try anything clever. Held his defender off, waited and waited, knowing another red shirt would get to him. Didn't try to beat his man, no aimless hoof up the pitch, just wait for help. Excellent.

Amos: 6.5 couldn’t have done more, can’t see where he went wrong at all, got a hand onto the one that hit the post
Djicksteel: 8 he may have been out of position needing him to make tackles back that otherwise wouldn’t have been necessary but he looked very very good to me.
Pearce: 7 very solid
Bauer: 7 incorrect booking knocked his effectiveness a bit but have rated him higher because he was still very good
